Since many DVC resorts have a community room, why not convert the reunion station to a community lodge for it’s members?

There was hope that was going to be the case when it was 1st built from many of us owners, but alas, it didn't happen. The way its designed inside, you can tell it was intentionally meant to be a gathering place. We went there once for a tasting back when DVC was still doing those and its a wee bit small in there. But with the outside portion of it having pool table already, IMO, it could be fairly easy to convert to a community hall. I for on would love to see this happen!

They actually said that in early announcements. It is what it was originally designed and announced to be.

Any chance they could still include a community hall now?

It's possible, but I think unlikely. Disney had hoped to make that space a revenue producing space. Their "concierge" concept failed and now they have to figure out what to do with the space. The reason I think a Community Hall is unlikely is because it would cost money to put in the equipment, and then they would have ongoing labor costs to staff it. The best chance of that happening would have been when it was first built since CCV was opening for sales and they could have used it as a selling point. But since CCV sales have been pretty good, I don't see Disney spending the money on a CH if it isn't going to bolster any income through sales. Just my two cents opinion. I guess my default response to things like this is "What's in it for Disney?". And I don't see any upside for Disney to add costs to properties that they have already pretty much sold.

Reunion Station is apparently open, at least in very limited hours. We check out tomorrow and missed seeing this or I would have swung by.IMG_20210521_201100~3.jpg
