Wilderness Lodge Deluxe Suites (Sleeps 6)

My family and I will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge in December. I am supposed to let them know if I want to add any room requests to my reservation (this is not the 4-days out request), since I did not note any when I made the original reservation a while back (wordy, sorry!).

My questions are: Has anyone stayed in a deluxe suite recently? Does anyone know which room offers a great view? What are the views available? Since the Wilderness Lodge deluxe rooms are considered concierge (told this by CM reservationist), are some of the deluxe rooms located on the 7th floor with the regular concierge rooms? Or, are they all at the end of the "wings" facing the water (looked at resort map)?

I think that's all for now . . . hopefully, someone has some answers for me.

I think I can answer one of your questions correctly.

We stayed in a deluxe a couple years ago. There are no deluxe rooms on the 7th floor where all the other concierge rooms are. The deluxes end at the 6th floor and to the best of my knowledge they are all located at the ends of each wing (hope you understand what I mean by that). To access the concierge services which are now included with the deluxe (was extra when we stayed) you have to take the elevator up one floor and walk quite a distance to where the concierge offerings are located. The only thing a remember about our view was we could see the electric light parade every night on the lake which was nice. We could not however see any fireworks at the magic kingdom.

The WL Deluxe Room is also called a Junior Suite.

This is good news for families with 5 - 6 people who can sleep using 2 queens and a sleeper sofa in two rooms. It is also a nice option for those who want a little more room than the standard WL room which can be a bit cramped for 3 or 4 adults.

Remember though that these rooms are located on floors 1 - 6 with some on the far ends of the wings and only one room on floor 6.

And as of January 1, 2007 these rooms have concierge access despite some contrary rumors. I have this confirmed in writing. (access to 7th floor Old Faithful Lounge)

For your question I would like to add that there are five deluxe rooms 2123, 3123, 4123, 5123 and 6123 that are located halfway down the south wing in the left corner overlooking the pool/lake/geyser. These rooms are just around the corner from the elevators so they would also offer a quick ride to the 7th floor. Not all of the deluxe rooms are located at the ends of the wings. Have a GREAT TRIP.
