I've just had to rearrange our plan for our trip next week and our ADR at Whispering Canyon was a casualty. We had planned dinner there the day we are at MK so we can see the Lodge and experience that restaurant.

It's only DH and I so I'm not overly disappointed - for TS, it was last on our priority list.

But we still want to see WL - do they have a decent counter service place for supper?

It's called Roaring Forks, right?

Their flatbreads (pizza) and sandwiches are pretty good. The lodge is gorgeous. I would definitely go to check it out!

The few times my family and I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge we enjoyed the food at Roaring Forks, so I would check out their menu to see what they have.

Wilderness Lodge is beautiful and we will eat at their CS restaurant one night just to enjoy the lodge. The food includes sandwiches and other light items, and they have a delicious salad that I love...it has chicken and apples and nuts and cheese...mmmm, I'm making myself hungry!

I'd go check out WL then take the path to walk to the campground (or take the boat) and eat at Trail's End Buffet. It's pretty good, and less expensive than most buffets. It's just a short trip over there from WL.

Roaring Fork (no s) is a pretty good counter service place. There are lots of choices and you'll find something good no matter what you're in the mood for.
