How is the bar at the Wilderness Lodge? :drinking1

My DH and I might like to have a drink back in our room as we watch the fireworks and I know someone on this board will have some insight.

TIA!

The Lounge is not that big and is rather cozy if you are however thinking that you can watch the fireworks from there you can not there are no windows towards the lake. I dont think you can actually see anything but the main lobby and the hall to AP but is a nice place to have a drink.

I liked it, but you'll pay extra for that cocktail! We've ordered drinks from room service in other WDW hotels, so you could probably do it there, but again, you'll pay!

Have a great trip!

We enjoy the Territory Lounge, it's one of our favorites at Disney. The Northwestern Exposure is an interesting change from other "dessert" drinks - check it out.

I didn't find it terribly expensive, though.

I like the Territory Lounge. To me it's not terribly "cozy", as often there are families w/kids there waiting for tables at Artist Point or Whispering Canyon. But it is a nice spot for a drink. They have (or maybe used to have) a nice Honey lager there.

I LOVE :lovestruc The TL at the WL! That is where I had my first blue cheese stuffed olive with my martini...*sigh*

I find it cozy due to the fact that it is walled in pretty much, and has dark wood. It is rather small, but that is what I like.

If you want a drink in your room, I would take drink fixin's in your luggage and do it yourself...saves lot of money. But then again, I am a lush. :rotfl: Also, if you want a frozen drink, or a dessert drink with lots of ingredients, it might be a pain to schlepp all that stuff around.

Have fun...I am so envious that you will be there soon!

Order a drink to go. We do that all the time and take it up to our room and enjoy it on the balcony or getting ready for dinner. :sunny:

We stopped in there lounge after our sleigh ride and the only thing we noticed is that you do see all the traffic for Artist Point.

We sat and watched one father come out of AP with a screaming child, who wanted mom, but didn't want to go back into the restaurant to be with mom. Dad walked with said child and then headed back in. Shortly out he comes again with same screaming child. Again the walk around and back into the restaurant. Not too much later out comes mom with same child. More walking and back into restaurant. Out comes dad again with child just before we left. DD noticed that as we were halfway across lobby, mom was back out and telling dad that he could take her back to the room, but she was going to finish her dinner in peace one way or another and stormed back into restaurant. Didn't see any of them again. Obviously the child was either very tired or something, but mom didn't care. Dad was trying to calm her down, but nothing was working.

If you want anything that isn't themed to the northwest, you may be out of luck. Think Coors, not Coronas. They did have an AWESOME Chardonnay from Washington State, if I'm not mistaken.

Wish I was going there...
