Wilderness Lodge and AP for late spring and fall

Hi everyone! I found out last week that DH and I will be in WDW from 4/27/04-5/3/04 and about a week in mid Oct '04, both for paintball tourneys. Now, neither of us has EVER stayed at a WDW resort, and we might be able to afford WL or AK, standard (since we went to WDW in 1998, we've ALWAYS wanted to stay at WL). My question is, do you think AP rates will be out for those times. We don't have an AP yet, but we are willing to buy 1 if the discounts are good. I checked out mousesavers and couldn't find an AP rate history. Have any of you gotten great rates at these times of year?? Please post any crumb of info you have!

We, too, are waiting for AP rates for the beginning of May. I know there is a thread on this board specifically dedicated to the AP rates for April, May and June. So far no rates have surfaced, but I do remember that last year, AP rates were available for this time period (although they didn't release the rates until the middle of April).
Just to give you a heads up, the rates for the WL should be around:

$120-140 standard view
$140-160 woods view
$160-180 courtyard view

This is just my best guess based on the rates last year and the fact that the rates should be a little bit higher than typical value season AP rates. Can anyone confirm the rates from last year?

Yeah, I've been keeping my eye on that AP-watch thread, too. I'm crossing my fingers that ANY dicounts for that time period will come out soon. My husband doesn't want to reserve a room now unless he's sure that discounts will be out--that may be the only way we'll be able to stay at WL. I don't really want to stay in a mod. . . we may have to settle for the Wyndham Palace again because they do offer great rates at times. DH doesn't usually like talking about WDW this far ahead of a trip, but I'll propose booking a WL room soon. Wish me luck!
