Hi, folks. I'm thinking about requesting a 1st floor courtyard view room so that we can walk straight out to the pool. This would be more important to us than a nice, high-up view. Is this do-able?

If the codes include the junior suites/deluxe rooms, we may go for one of them. If so, would a 1st-floor walk-out still be a possibility?

Thanks!

We were at WL in Oct and were on the 2nd floor with a courtyard view.

There were rooms below us-so they do have 1st floor courtyard views.

I thought the CM in concierge said the deluxe rooms and junior suites were all on the 4th floor and higher. We were thinking about switching to one but did not want to be on a high floor.

I think you can find a room layout somewhere on this board.

Hope this helps.
:D

Last Jan we had a Deluxe suite on the first floor all the way at the end. You could walk out the door in the hallway and go right to the pool or left to the boat launch. Very convienient with a small child. The only drawback for us was that the patio was tiny and had a wall in front so you couldn't see anything when you sat in the chairs. We loved having the larger suite with our DD because we could put her to bed and sit up and talk/read/watch tv at the end of the day.

I guess you can have a deluxe room on the 1st floor

Now I know that for when we go back.

:D

Hi All,
In answer to your question about Junior Suites on the First floor...There are four Junior Suites on the first floor, three look out onto the lake and one is basically a woods view. You cannot walk out the balcony door to the pool, However the exit doors are located to the left and right of your room door...all other basic courtyard view rooms have a cement patio with easy access to the pool area....

Have a Magical Day

We originally had a deluxe room reserved, but changed to two connecting standard rooms when we found out that the deluxe couldnt be discounted. Did I understand wrong, is it true that the Deluxe rooms are discounted sometimes?????

It was a nice view, but we were not able to walk anywhere from our patio. It was directly in front of trees, shrubs, etc. We still had to walk all the way around through the hall way to exit the resort.

The nice thing about the room was that the Character Caravan characters came out of/went into the room almost infront of ours. My daughters would just sit by our door in the morning to shake hands with them.

It was so cool for them to think that all those characters were staying just in front of us!

Bear Necessities- I was wondering about deluxe rooms being discounted also.

I would really rather have a deluxe than 2 connecting rooms. When I called CRO about these rooms, all I could find out was that AAA discount does not apply to these rooms. I read a post somewhere that someone got one with a Disney Club discount.

I would like to hear if anyone ever got an AP discount or "discount for anyone" on these rooms.

We are planning to go in August, so I know the discounts won't be out for a while, but I'd like to find out if it is even a possibility!

Thanks to anyone that can help us!!:)

Laura- You must be going in May? (based on your countdown clock)

Do you currently have any discount on your connecting rooms?

I feel like I need to make a reservation, but I don't want a Deluxe if I have to pay rack rate!

This is starting to make me crazy!

Shelley

We have a deluxe room booked for Dec 7 - 14. Got about a 40% discount using Disney Club, couldn't get a discount through CRO. Hope this helps.

Thanks johndavid for the info!

Can you get info on Disney Club discounts before becoming a member, or only once you've joined? That sounds like a great discount- I had read somewhere that most DC discounts are 10-20%.

Also, do you know how far ahead they publish Disney club discounts?

I went to the Disney Club page on the Disney site, but it only said discounts would be available.

Any further info you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Shelley
