Just returned yesterday from my quick solo trip. Had an AMAZING time. WL was absolutely perfect as always.
1/12 - Went to DTD. Had dinner at T-Rex. It was OK. Food is what you'd expect. Restaurant is lots of fun inside. As expected, just like Rainforest Cafe, but with dinos.
1/13 - Magic Kingdom. Was there right at opening. It was sweatshirt weather early on. There were modest crowds, but I walked on pretty much everything. After 6 when it was dark, went on Thunder Mountain about 4 times in a row. It was great being in Frontierland without massive crowds like I'm used to in the summer. Just too bad Splash was closed.
1/14 - Epcot. Sweatshirt weather all day. Was there for about 9 hours, and did everything I wanted to. Only wait was for Soarin', and I even had a fastpass for it. Other than that, walked right on everything. Went to Magic Kingdom that night for Wishes.
1/15 - Animal Kingdom. I love this park, but I only spent about 3 hours there. Sweatshort weather all day. Very chilly. In that time I did Everest, Dinosaur, Safari, Mahraja Jungle Trek, Pangani Trail, It's Tough To Be A Bug, and had lunch at Rainforest. From there went to to the Studios, which is where I started seeing crowds for the first time. I got there at 1:00, and line for Toy Story Mania was 60 minutes and all fastpasses were gone. I did ToT and One Man's Dream, then left for Magic Kingdom for Spectromagic. Left after Spectro and timed it out perfectly so that I'd be on the boat to WL for Wishes.
1/16 - Magic Kingdom. JACKET WEATHER!!! Very cold. Spent a few hours there, did the mountains, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Pooh, TTA, Carousel of Progress, Haunted Mansion. Left for Epcot, did a few shows at World Showcase and had dinner at Teppan Edo. Excellent.
1/17 - Got on bus to airport. Cried. Got on plane. Cried some more (just kidding.)
It was a good fix for the winter. Big family trip is for 2 weeks in August at WL.
Sorry - Didn't take my camera.
