Wilderness Explorer Badges at AK?

I've just been watching Up! and remembered that there are a whole set of Wilderness Explorer Badges to be earned around AK. Now, I definitely quite enjoyed visiting the the Kidcot stations around World Showcase during my last visit (and my Duffy is happily on display in my lounge, along with my Take-Along-Olaf and my wand from CRT!) and I was wondering whether any adults had completed the WE badges, and whether they were any fun?

I know the CMs will let anyone join in, but is it a weird one for adults to be doing without kids in tow, or could it be a lot of fun for us?

Any thoughts? Anyone here done it before? :)

I haven't done any, but as a big AK fan, I've watched a lot. Most of it seems OK to me, and I have a feeling CMs and adults would interact fine. However, there are a few stations that involve making sounds (like a roar or whatever the animal is). Since I'd just feel too self-concious doing that, and you have to recite a pledge at the beginning, I just haven't.

I had a lot of fun working on the Wilderness explorer badges! My 12 year old stood off far away and acted disinterested and bored, but I had fun with it. Who cares what anyone else thinks if you are having fun? I thought some of the parts were fairly educational and interesting (like I never knew that tarantulas molt!)

My boyfriend and I like collectig badges. We're leaving on Friday and he reminded me last week that he wants to do the Wilderness Explorer badges so I could pull the books out.

On our last trip, I started collecting them about halfway through our day at AK.
I had fun doing it and I didn't feel out of place at all.
Everyone was so nice when we stopped to talk with them.
I'm pretty sure that my mom and aunt (in their 50's) did this on their last trip, too.
