Hi All!

I have been to WL before and loved it (Dec 2003) but am considering going next May (10th Anniversary & my Birthday) for 8 nights and staying concierge. What can anyone tell me about it? Room locations and views, food offerings, etc. Will have our 22 month old son with us.

Thanks and can't wait to here from you.

I stayed WL concierge last Septmeber, and wasn't *wowed* by it. It was more concierge light.

Once the new lounge opens it might be different.

DH will only go back if we go concierge. We love the lodge and its ok that its "light" we don't eat all of our meals at the lounge area, more of a snack or a night cap area. The CM's there are fab -- and very helpful. Enjoy your stay.

There is no lounge area at the WL, unless you've been there in the past week or so (not even sure it's open yet)

That's one of the things I didn't like about it. Tables and chairs in the hallway, and no comfortable seating area to relax in.

The lounge isn't completed yet from what Magicinmyheart posted a few days ago. They're hoping in July, but nothing is set in stone yet. I agree with Ducklite - I wasn't wowed by it and am hoping that with a new lounge in which to relax in and hearing reports on good concierge experiences as far as service goes I'll give it another try.

ducklite--- I was refering to the couch/table area along the lobby rail, I suppose it is not a lounge, but I wasn't sure what else to call it. :confused3

I just returned from a Wl conceirge trip and I thought it was wonderful, yes the tables are still set up in the hallway but we did see workers working on the lounge on a daily basis

I thought the offerings were good too, I stayed conceirge at the Poly about 2 years ago and honestly thought this was nicer (Maybe I am craxy) I liked the nightly offerings at Wl , they had the yummiest soups, and the desserts were out of this world.

The staff was wonderful they were constantly refilling items and if you needed something they went out of their way to get it for you

I think one of the things I really didn't like about it was to work on anything with the concierge you had to stand by a counter near the elevators in an area that could get crowded with people getting on and off. Not at all relaxing and if I wanted to stand at a counter to talk to a CM, I could do that downstairs in the lobby for a lot less money.

The average Hampton Inn has a nicer "lounge" area than the WL CL.

Hopefully this will all change, but until then, I won't be back. I stay CL for added service, not food, and I just didn't get that at the WL.

PMart,
Glad to hear your recent stay at WL CL was wonderful. We will be headed there next week. Did you get a glimpse of the new lounge? Did the CM's seem to have an idea when it would be ready? We have stayed there in the past and I also thought the staff was always helpful. :flower:
