Hi Everyone,
Sorry for not pulling my weight in the post-count category lately! Things have been pretty busy around here. Finally I have some quiet time - DS is asleep (it is 10 to 10 after all LOL) and DH has just headed out for a beer or two with some friends. I pulled babysitting duties (if only those baby monitors had a longer range...just kidding

) which I don't really mind as it gives me a bit of down time.
We got DH's pirate outfit from the costume rental place (more $$ than I was expecting, but as another bananahead so aptly put it 'oh well, it's a vacation'). Mine STILL has not come in the mail. Although I did hound the woman and she assured me she express posted it on Tuesday night. That is REALLY pushing it to get up here in time...but I don't know what else I could have done with this lady. Anyway, fingers crossed. Otherwise I will be the grumpy one with the red bandana and jeans on LOL. DH looks great in his get-up - definately more Cpt. Morgan than Jack Sparrow but hey, beggars can't be choosers right

. And DS's costume is quite cute - and should look even better when we plaster him with the fake tattoos we got. DH and I both have enough real tattoos to go around, so it's only fair DS gets to join in the fun.
Sounds like everybody's moms are holding steady

I can imagine it is a tough time. My mom passed away 10 years ago and it was tough, but it was quite quick (pancreatic cancer - 4 months diagnosis to dead) so I suppose it was a little easier in a way (OK, this is something you really have to say in person as it is not coming out very well online). Anyway - I guess what I am trying to say is I am glad everyone's mom seems to be doing well and make sure you hug them and tell them you love them as often as you can
OK - on to lighter stuff - I started packing today. I have been throwing everything into a cabinet downstairs up to this point, but started to get it all organized today. I think we are doing pretty good. I have 2 garment bags - one for all our formal/semi/dressy stuff and the other for Pirate (

). The formal/semi is all packed up and I've also put my shoes in there (at last count I have 8 pairs - ssssh don't tell hubby lol). The pirate has to wait for my darn ebay lady!!!

The medium size suitcase has all DSs stuff (size 5s shorts don't take up too much room LOL) and my stuff that I won't be wearing until we get on the ship. I am thinking the other 1/2 of my stuff and DHs stuff can go into the large case and then we should be done. We usually don't do a big carry-on bag (the facade of luggage free LOL - until you see us at the baggage carousel

) but because of the whole wait for suitcases on day one and having to put the cases out the night before on the last night I am undecided about bringing it. Although, on the last cruise I saw a lady with the cutest carryon and she got it from Ron Jon - so I might *forget* ours and buy one there

. I don't have a ton of booze to bring on board (unlike some board members who shall remain nameless but likely cheer for the Saints) but do seem to have alot of gift exchange/miscellaneous type stuff that can't be packed. If you see a green shirt on what appears to be a bag lady you have found me.
If you are still reading my diatribe - people with kids (or kids at heart) I have been picking up glowsticks from the dollar store like crazy so have lots to share with the kiddos in our group.
I got all the clipart off in an e-mail to a friend at work who is going to help format the layout for the pillowcases. THANK GOD as I was throwing darts at Martha and her damn craft skills before my co-worker came along!!! Anyway, I am going to print the stuff on the paper on MOnday at work (sssh - don't tell the boss....that would be a really lame thing to get fired over!) and hopefully have them all done on Tuesday night.
Zippy - is your DS going to dance in the talent show. I would love to see him strut his stuff. I think it is so great when a kid is so passionate!! It must choke you up to see him performing!
I absolutely cannot wait to meet everyone and am counting down the days.
