Good Morning everyone!

Just wanted to stop by and see how everyone was doing today! :teeth:

I am off to feed the little princess, I'll stop by again when she's napping. Have a great day! :thumbsup2

Just checking in from work...haven't read any posts yet...but wanted to share...
Is it possible to be completely shocked and overwelmed, happy and disappointed at the same time?
Well...I just found out yesterday (on my birthday, no less) that I am two months pregnant. No, it wasn't planned. Dh was supposed to be shooting blanks following 8 months of chemo last year...and in February his sperm count was 0..nada...zilch. So no vasectomy for him...he was so relieved...
I only realized yesterday, that I was really late (see what cruise distraction can do to a person) anyway testing and ultrasound to follow...so no guarantees yet...and packing was shoved to the side yesterday to break the news to my husband...who is completely proud of his resilient virility!
And I am disappointed that I will be pregnant for the cruise...been planning for two years...and now I have morning sickness and no beers for me. :o

Anyway...just had to share with someone...off to a meeting...

CONGRATULATIONS, LAURIE! Sometimes the universe just has other plans than ours! If it makes you feel any better, we can probably get Cheri to drink your share (she's a lush :lmao: ).

:lmao: Sorry, I just had to laugh at this! Glad to know that your DH has "recovered" nicely from the chemo!

Congratulations on the wonderful news. You will still have plenty of fun on the cruise! :yay:

Here is a :grouphug: and some pixiedust: for all of you under the weather. I think we are trying to fight something too, but I am taking extra vitamin C. My friend told me about something called airborne. You are suppose to take it when you feel a cold starting or when you are going into a crowd. I think we will take it before we get on the airplane-I will try anything to keep from getting sick

Its a gloomy day here today. I don't think we are going to see the sun until FLorida.

Lots to do today. I am getting ready for a Ladies night out that I am in charge of at my kids school. I am renting a table and selling Mary Kay. I really I have way too much going :scared1: on Hopefully I can finish packing this weekend. That way I will have time to check and double check everything.

We are doing the DOC dance :cool1: :cool1: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc   . I picked them up yesterday :thumbsup2

Have a good Thursday. We leave in 1 week Can hardly wait! :bounce:

Lorna :wave2:

So last night we decide to go online to fill out our documents. I just kept putting it off. We just finished the first one and our computer shuts off. We finally got back on to do the second and after finishing we get a message that said there is a problem. Since last night we've been trying to sign back on. We keep getting alternating messeges. Either "we can't find this number" or "our reservation system is down." If anyone has a free minute can they sign on and see if it works for them or if it's just our number it doesn't like?
I know we can just fill out the papers from out package, but I was hoping to get it done today.

Carrie

Lauri I just read your post. Congratulations!! :cheer2: :cheer2: You will still have a wonderful time :thumbsup2 I am glad your DH is doing well.

Hi all!

Another cold & windy day today! Can't wait to head south! :Pinkbounc

Well, thanks to Jan, I'm watching Planes, Trains & Automobiles while I'm working. One perk of working from home! Already made it past your favorite part, Bob!

Gotta get lots of stuff done today because it looks like I'll be going in to work tomorrow. Our office girl (not to be confused with office guy) isn't coming in today because her kid is sick. I imagine she will be sick tomorrow as well. (I'm starting to worry about what will happen when we're gone. . . :furious: )

Hope everyone has a great day!

"Over? Did you say over? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? H*** no!" (movie, anyone?). Bob, we still have the DWTS LIVE tour, coming to a city near you soon! :cool1:

For the record -- I also knew the quote was from Animal House! :woohoo:

DWtS -- Did you notice the song that Sara Evans danced to??? In light of all that has transpired, "These Boots are Made for Walking" is more than just a catchy tune! :rotfl:

Congratulations Lauri! - Now, if you were in Germany, they'd be giving you beer, probably one a day. It's considered 'good for you' like apples are here. Perhaps you could think of it as liquid bread? :rolleyes1

Yes, we leave tomorrow morning - thanks for the well wishes! I CAN"T WAIT to meet you all. :grouphug: The week at WDW will be just marking time . . . :rotfl2:

Congratulations Laurie. You can drink all the non-alcoholic beverages you want on the cruise! Let's hope that you won't have much morning sickness. You'll be too busy and having too much fun to notice.

Lorna: Please don't you and your family get sick! A co-worker tried Airborne but it didn't work for her. pixiedust: being thrown your way to ward off the germs.

Love the quotes from Planes, Trains & Automobiles. That is one of my all time favorites.

With the weather being cold, dreary and rainy in mid-Michigan, I thought I'd print a few phrases from a Buffett song to get us through the day.

Nibblin' on sponge cake, watchin' the sun bake;
All of those tourists covered with oil....

I blew out my flip flop,
Stepped on a pop top.
Cut my heel had to cruise on back home,
But there's booze in the blender (Yeah :woohoo: )...

Oooh, Jan, let's not even go there!

Where are your hands?
Between the pillows.
THOSE AREN'T PILLOWS!
:rotfl2:

BOB - I don't think there's a week that goes by that my husband doesn't quote that line. It's one of his favorite movies. He loves Steve Martin and John Candy...we actually watch Uncle Buck in this house....

:flower1: Congratulations Laurie :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I thought these kind of surprizes came up after the cruise??? :confused3

It is cloudy and rainy in Florida today. They said it would be gone by now, but it's still here :guilty:

I am staying in bed today to get over what ever this is and it seems to be working because I am not any worse, so maybe by tomarrow I will be all better. I have never missed a cruise yet, I dont want this to be the first!!!

It sounds like everyone is about ready to go. I never pack anything until the day before we go.I need something to help me pass the time that last day, it always drags by. :sad2:

take care everyone, we dont want a Mutt bite?? It would probably turn us into a

Hey Carrie - we had problems too. I called DCL and they admitted some issues. The lady there was able to update my file with our IDs (but it still doesn't show up online). I think you can just print off the forms, sign them and bring them to the port.

Laurie - that's really exciting. I know how getting that kind of *surprise* feels LOL  .

Gotta run to a meeting - hope you all have a good day!

KATHY - Here's lots of pixie dust for you pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: Your's seemed to work for me yesterday so I hope it does the same for you.

LAURIE - :cheer2: :cheer2: CONGRATULATIONS! :cheer2: :cheer2: I hope the morning sickness stays here on land for you :thumbsup2 I will keep you in my thoughts while you are waiting on the tests.

LINDA - Have a safe trip. See you next week!

My list is actually getting smaller. DD's, DS's and my clothes are all set...DH will work on his this weekend (or else!), I got my haircut the other day and DD, DS and DH have their cuts on Wednesday. I still need to get my nails done..if I make the time for it. I have actually gotten some Christmas shopping done so I plan on wrapping some presents before I leave and this weekend we are going to do some decorating. We are going to decorate our tree on Thanksgiving Day so it's all ready for us when we get home. Othere than the basic house cleaning I think I'm in pretty good shape. Ask me come next Tuesday if I still feel that way :scared1:

I'll check back later-

That is a great song, but I have to admit that one of my favorit lines from any of his songs is from the song Boat Drinks. It is a line that only Buffett could get away with singing:

Oh I know, (I know)
I should be leaving this climate
I got a verse but cant rhyme it
I gotta go where its warm
