Good morning Nanas!

Hope everyone is feeling well this morning! :goodvibes :grouphug:

We had a pretty good rain/thunderstorm come through here last night. Now it's really foggy, but supposed to get into the mid 80's later. :cool1:

Not much else going on today. Just the same ol' same ol'. Dancing With the Stars is on tonight so we'll see if this is Jerry's last stand. :dance3:

Better get DD ready for school! :teacher:

Have a super day!

Cheri

Good morning Banana Heads

Well, get out my membership to the club ... I'm fighting a nasty cold, too  . On Saturday I walked down to the gym and it was in the 40s and a little drizzly, so I'm sure that's what brought this on. The good news is, I should be over it in a day or 2 ... and then Bill will have it :rolleyes1

Cheri, tonight is definitely Jerry's last stand, but he's been fun to watch regardless! Let's see what Joey and Mario have up their sleeve! :goodvibes

Off to some training ... catch y'all later (that was for Wendy and Bob). :rotfl2:

Okay, apparently my head is in a fog this morning, because I don't get it! :confused3 Okay, now I get it, she said "y'all". I feel better now!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday. Beautiful day here in Atlanta with temps going back into the low 80s. Not much happening with me. I am "on the bench" which means I sit in the office and play on the internet for the next two weeks until my next project starts up! Sounds like fun, but it really stinks. It is great for the first day or two and then its like, "I gotta find something to do!"

Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA for the past little while. Things just seem to hectic. I have been lurking and reading though - just didn't post.

Jamie - so sorry to hear about the tragedy so close to home. How someone could do that to anyone, let alone children is beyond me. :grouphug:

Kelly - sorry to hear about your back. I have a real problem with mine too. DH and I took an adults only trip to WDW last Sept and I think sleeping at the HI before the flight killed me. I woke up in the middle of the night with the worst spasms I have ever had. Spent 2 hrs in the shower under the hot water. It was worse than labour (OK, well maybe not worse - but close....and there was no epidural!). So, made it on the plane and decided to put my head in DHs lap as I was SO tired. Anyway, went to straighten up and tweaked it again - AGONY!!!!! Stuck in a SWA seat spasming like no tomorrow and trying not to scream. I got up and went to the back - crying going down the aisle. People must have thought I was loony. Anyway, there I am in the back washroom area hanging on to the wall, crying and trying not to fall to my knees every time I had a spasm. It was horrendous. I couldn't wait to get to a pharmacy in Orlando to get some 'good american drugs' but alas I find out you can get muscle relaxers in the US without a prescription - OMG!!!!!!!!! Anyway, by that time I am just a disaster, so we got some
A5-35 and heating pads and hoped for the best. It slowly got better thank god - and I was in WDW so at least that made it nicer. The pool also helped. But I felt bad when I went on rides because I reeked of Ben-Gay LOL. Anyway, hope you feel better soon!

Seems like things are OK with everyone else - busy yes, but OK. Lynn - hoping DS gives you a bit of a break soon.....this too shall pass as they say.

Tonight I am watching House so will miss DWTS - but I am sure I will be kept well informed by the addicts on this board who shall remain nameless LOL

I am hopefully going to order my Pirate outfit today. Got DS a tux from another Ontario DISr - $20 can't go wrong!!!!!

Steve grabbed a PIN started kit for DS - THANK YOU STEVE!!!!!!! And thanks to everyone else who offered. I may have to take you guys who are lucky enough to visit the world fairly often up on another offer so I can have a few special treats for DS along the way.....gotta love Disney :cheer2:

We can't WAIT for this cruise and think it will be just great. By November that Carribean sun is going to feel SO great. :sunny: :sunny:

Talk to you all soon - take care!

Kelly, I hope your back gets better real soon. I have a similar story to Sarah, but it was our first DCL cruise. I have had back problems for 20 years. The night before our cruise, we are starting to pack and I do something to my back. We have this little shower massager thing, and DW used it to rub some Icy Hot on my lower back. As she finishes packing, I am laying in bed just praying I don't have to cancel the cruise. The next morning, I just stayed in bed until I felt like I could make the drive to Orlando (6.5 hours). Throughout the cruise, DW would use that little massager to keep me bathed in Icy Hot in the mornings and before bed. It kept me going enough to enjoy the cruise, thank goodness!

Kelly... sorry to hear about your back. I have some linament if you want it. The bottle dates to the late 1800's and is still full with the original contents.
I tried it some time ago when I had sore muscles in my leg. It worked reasonably well to loosen it up and Woo steered clear of me for a couple days because of the odor. They used some unusual ingredients including cayenne peppers and distilled turpentine. Its yours for the asking.

Hope everyones day is goin good.

"Downtime" is hell, Bob...I feel for ya.

Hey Kathy...quick question. Did they still have the rotational buffets (eg: chinese, american, mexican...etc) when you were aboard last? That question goes to anyone thats been onboard lately too... I just default DCL questions to Kathy, oh queen of the Disney Cruise info :worship: . (the reason I asked is I didn't see it listed on the latest navigators they have out from an early Sept. Eastern....) thanks in advance....
Enjoy....

Where did you find September Eastern navigators? The most recent I have come accross is April '06.

Bill,
when we cruised in August they did have the different themes each day at lunch in the buffet. I know there was a mexican, italian, american, seafood, not sure about oriental, but I think so.

Hope that helps some, if I think of what the other days were themed I will let you know what they were. :thumbsup2

Ditto us in August on the Western Itinerary. Each day was themed. We rarely did the sit down lunch with the kids either on an excursion or swimming at that time, but one day we hit the seafood buffet. It was great for us - the kids weren't so into it..

I didn't know when he would ever come on again!
Well, just tell him to get his butt in gear and get his priorities straight and start posting more! :stir:

sorry...double posted....I wasn't posting at all, now I'm just all over the board...MY BAD :confused3

Woo thanks God everyday that shes not Bill...

Thanks Kathy and Jeff....'preciate your help-had me worried for a sec.

Hey Bob...I'll try and post more. I just got discouraged when SOMEONE didn't return my PM (not you, Bob....this person knows who they are!).

Ok.... question to everyone... Has anyone heard ANYTHING concerning the Disney Dream? I've read bits and pieces here and there and it may just be a nasty rumor, but if there IS a new ship in the works....I sure would love to know more about it. Anyone?
Talk to everyone later...
B.

In our local paper a few months back it was announced that DCL did have another ship allplanned, they had submitted the plans for approval, but it also sad they were NOT going to build it until the dollar and the euro (spelling??) were stronger.
That was all it said. Here in Florida, if Disney does anything at all it makes the paper ASAP!!! But there has been nothing since then.
I will post if I ever see anything about it, we would love to know all about it too.

Kathy

Bill, who would dare not return a PM to you, just send me aname friend and they will get a stern talking to :lmao:

I wanna go on the Disney Dream isn't that the new boats name :rotfl2:

Wendy

Good Afternoon     ,
Well it was sooooooooooooo hot today and it is suppose to be worse tomorrow  !! Where is Fall not in NY??? Well went to Mommy and Me and it was good. DS was actually very involved today and the minute we got in the car he was sleeping :teeth: !! Well tonight is Dancing with the Stars and I am hoping this is the night Jerry goes :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 !! Well I have to feed DS his carrots and get dinner ready for DH. Talk to you tomorrow.

Cruisemutt: My DH was on the disboards on Sunday night and someone said that Disney was in the progress of buliding the Disney Dream. I don't know how too it is. DH wants to go on the Disney Dreams for it's 1st sailing :cool1: !!

Wow, I just realized that I am going to nice and tan or red (that's a redhead's tan :cool1: ) for Christmas :teeth: :teeth: !!

Hey Everyone!

Thanks so much for the well wishes and all the great tips for my back. I have a herniated disc in my lower back so I know what is causing the problem...I aggravated it really bad back in Feb. and I'm still on the road to recovery I guess.
I only see the chiro. when it's acting up. As for the Core exercise...I do those too. I take Jazzercise classes and we do a LOT of core work. The only problem is that it's VERY lower back intensive a lot of the time and if I overdue it I pay. Guess what??? I overdid it 2 weeks ago...I was stupid...did a routine 2 days in row that I shouldn't have done and then went walking in New York and bowling. Duh...I know! Everytime I aggravate it I think I've learned my lesson. Hopefully I will be a little smarter this time.

I've gotta run DS to karate. I'll be back later!
