Good Morning Everyone

Just helping to keep that post count up.

Rainy and gloomy here in NJ...but it's been dry for about a week, so it's ok. Supposed to be a nice weekend though.

Not much else to say yet...my brain is still asleep.

Have a great day!

Kelly

Howdy,

Our friends just told us about a couple changes that will probably happen by the time we cruise.
Magic will no longer have a duo in the Promenade lounge, but occassionally will have a singing piano player. Personally I think that is a mistake. You can go to sessions or cadillac lounge for that. A lot of people used the duo for dancing with the kids, or a place to hang out while waiting to go to dinner, or just to relax with live music instead of the more party atmosphere on the clubs. The house band will move around the ship performing, what ever that means?

But worse than that, on the Wonder they will still have a duo in the Promenade lounge, but NO band?? :furious:
I dont know how they will get away with that. People expect live music at the party and the clubs at night. I dont know what if anything will take their place, our friends who work for DCL didnt know. I think people will be really MAD about NO live band on the Wonder!! They will get a lot of letters about that I'm sure. Live music is one of the highlights of the evening for people.

What do you guys think?? :confused3

Kathy

Morning all,
Today is the day for me the dreaded D day. DH and I start the cruise diet today(well Mike doesn't know yet, but he'll figure it out). After Hurricane Katrina we had a LOT of stress eating in our house. So it is time to get serious. Going to the park to walk Disney our dog after dropping DS off at school.

Hey Wendy....I'm taking the wife to Cracker Barrel for breakfast this morning...shall we have some ceremonial bisquits and gravy in lue of your diet?
Good luck to both of you..... I'm still trying my best....

:rolleyes1 Gee mutt: your soooo supportive and thanks for making the sacrifice and eating all that fatting food..... :rotfl2: :rotfl:

We had a health screening at our office yesterday. I totally forgot and had breakfast. So I just blew it off. We have them every year. My cholesterol is normally in the normal range, so I figure what's the problem with skipping one year... :confused3

Well I want to thank everyone for making me addicted to this board  . I am trying to get this posted then finish getting ready for work

Have a great day everyone I will be back tonight to help with the post's.

:hourglass :hourglass Happy Anniversary Mutt and Woo :hourglass :hourglass

Josh - I am pretty sure I called you Joel too - sorry, but at least now I will remember! :thumbsup2

Wendy - Good luck on the diet - I need to be thinking along those lines as well :rolleyes1

Kathy - That is too bad about the band - it seems like a pretty standard thing to have and hard to understand why they would do away with it completely?

I think I agree with everyone else on the dog issue. Huck is 12 and I think we will take a break after she moves on to Doggie Heaven. Alot of love, but also alot of work!

Big WOOHOO to Lukas Rossi out new CANADIAN Rockstar :cheer2: I actually havn't watched the show - had to tape it last night while I went riding - but saw on the news this morning that he had won. I am actually going to Google Rockstar after I get off the DIS to see what happened.

Talk to you all soon!

First Off....
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BILL & SHELL!

As for the animal issues, we have a good friend who is single who absolutely loves our animals. So, whenever we go out of town, he is more than happy to come over and babysit for us. Heck, I think the dogs and cats get more love when he is there than when they are with us! He is an animal nut, but can't have one with his roommate. So, he gets double pleasure...a break from his roommate and a house full of pets to play with!

BTW, does anybody want any tropical fish? Ours are being very...hmmm....productive! :fish: :fish: :fish: What started out as about 16 fish is now well over 50 fish!! And 2 females are about to burst with babies again! Our tank will only hold so much. When we were at PetSmart last week buying dog & cat food, DW asked the girl in the aquarium department if we could bring some back and get a credit! :rotfl2:

Have a great day everyone!

Happy Anniversary Back at ya, Baby~~~
(yesterday, she called me a hunka something else)

Denise...from Friday the 9th to yesterday, I walked/jogged a combined total of 48 miles. I'm allowing myself a lil "slip" on our anniversary (I'm sure I'll regret it terribly and go do a deathmarch this afternoon to shed the eggs and sausages). Its not easy being a chunky monkey

Anyways....have a great day everyone....I'll try to make it a good one for Shell and me.

Good Morning to you All,
Wow I had alot of reading from yesterday. Well yesterday was a REALLY bad day for me!! First off me and DH got alittle to no sleep. DS is teething really bad and they is nothing I can do to take away the pain. Then DS decided to scream the entire day off and on. I tried everything and nothing was working. Well we are off to a better start today!!! DS sleep okay and he is smiling and playing today :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !! It is a rainy nasty say here in NY. Going to stay in and get wash :laundy: :laundy: and take out my fall clothes :cheer2: !! That means I get to pack my summer clothes for the cruise! Yeah :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: !! My dad is off from work today and is going to stop by with my little sister. Have a great day!!

Shell: Sorry to hear that you couldn't keep the dog. She was a cutie !!!

Cruisemutt and Shell:   HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

We have to have a Kitty-Sitter come stay with our cats when we go away for more than a night or two.
During our first cruise we just had someone come in and feed them and take care of their box... Well, My little charlie was so upset about being alone that he licked all the hair off his front legs and off a patch of his belly.
We brought him to the vet and were told that he had a "nervous" disposition and would put him on meds for it if it continued.... :cat:
So now we have one of the older teens from our church come in and spend the nights at our house and give them some love. So Sad.

Have a great day

Feenie: It's funny you posted this today-I was gonna ask everyone if they had every put their dog and cat at the same kennel and if you thought they would let them share a cage-since they live together here....I'm having such stress over the care of my pets while I'm gone-last cruise we put 'Lucy' our 9 year old Min Pin in the Kennel and left 'Jetta' our cat home with my DD's friend coming everyday to feed her-Jetta was very looonly-broke my heart when we got home...don't want to do this again!!

Feenie: By the way, we are in the cabin right next to you....5018... :thumbsup2 .

Bill & Shell: :rolleyes1 Happy anniversary, happy anniversary, happy anniversary.....haaaaaapy anniversary :rolleyes1

Rainy here in Pa...waiting for the Sears repair man-we haven't had a refrigerator(spelling???) for almost 2 weeks!!!!! Been keeping food in our camper fridge-tough going out in the morning to get the milk from the camper that sits in the driveway!!

Have a great day....Okie :)

Happy Anniversary Shell and Bill!
Wish you many many more happy years.
Steve and I had our 35th this past Sunday!

pixiedust: Happy Anniversary :lovestruc Bill & Shell!!! pixiedust: party:

    Some honorary nanas for you, too!

Denise & Wendy -- I was glad (surprised) to see that Jerry was named to the second round so early in the show! Then I could watch other things until the very end when they gave Tucker the boot. :happytv: Thankfully it's only on two nights a week.

I'm right with you all on the pet thing. Studies show that having pets is supposed to reduce stress. :confused3 Not always the case!

Wendy -- good luck on the diet and Mutt, congrats on the the mileage! :cool1: Maybe we need to have a diet/exercise goal like our 4000 post goal. . . Diet ends 1:01 p.m. 11/25/06 at Signals! :drinking1 popcorn::

Have a great day!

I'm trying to keep up but you all are writing so fast. Where can I see how many posts there are. I'm only seeing posts in the 2000's. I am also trying to remember who is who, but since I'm horrible with names as it is, I don't see that happening soon.

TV: I love reality TV. However, I'm trying to get our family to cutback on TV. We did start watching Dancing with the Stars. Dh has a thing for Sara Evans so he got me started. Tucker really needed to go, but I thought he might have a big enough fan base to keep him around. I didn't even recognize Joey Lawerance until I heard him talk. I am addicted to the Amazing Race and can't wait for it to start.

Dogs: My Max is doing so much better. She might be around longer than we were expecting. I haven't decided about whether we'll get another. It is so much work and worry. And this cancer thing is really wearing me out. But she has given us so much pleasure. My 4 yo son is starting to want to run around and play with her, but she is just too old. So maybe we will eventually.

Diet: Good Luck Wendy, We are working on that here too. This has been such a stressful year. Dh and I both gained quite a bit of weight. I had lost 50 lbs at WW 2 years ago and gained a good bit back this year. So I returned to WW last month and am starting to see some results. We joined the YMCA last week and exercise is makeing me feel so much better. Hopefully, I'll lose enough by the cruise that I will be more comfortable.

I know there was more I wanted to add but the short term memory is failing. I'll add more later and then I can contribute to the 4000.
