Ok... I've been faking this far too long.... I DONT KNOW ABOUT THESE DOOR SIGNS!!! SOMEONE CLUE ME IN. WHAT ARE THEY FOR?, WHAT DO WE PUT ON THEM? WILL THERE BE A TEST?
The reason I ask is I'm a designer and signmaker by trade and I have a pretty significant arsenal of equipment to work with so I'd like to get busy...

Someone point me in the right direction---I hear everyone talking about them and I wanna hop on the band wagon....

Okay Mutt, you need to check out some of the examples in this thread:

Door Signs

Basically, door signs are magnetic paper (in most cases) on which people print Disney clip-art or pictures and cute little sayings. Some do 1 sign for the whole cruise, some will do a sign for every day! It is just a way to personalize the cabin a little more, and it does help recognize your door in a long stretch of similar looking doors!

I haven't done door signs either. (Something else for me to obsess over). I did put up a Castaway Cay magnet on the door last year, got stolen the first night. So take in what you don't want to loose.

Tonya brought up a good point. Some people have had their signs disappear on them! The way that some have countered this is to personalize the sign by either putting the cabin number, your names (first, last or both), DIS names and hometown. It appears to primarily be the generic ones that get stolen.

I'll be interested to see what you come up with, Mutt. I am sure there will be at least one with a Dancing Banana icon on it. Though, of course it will be in limbo! :rotfl:

I can't believe you kicked your wonderful little puppy out of your signature to be replaced by those dancing yellow thingies (technical term)! That poor puppy is sitting somewhere crying right now because his owner abandoned him!

I just got the mickey computer art CD so I guess I will try that for signs I really do need to get going on this :artist:

Woogal, I'm with you, what is with the date on Tiggerking's ticker. I didn't know if he was planning a grand entrance on a helicopter or if they were going to drop him by a cargo plane. Either way we will get a jump start on drinking the boat dry.

Well, I will be making a grand entrance regardless!

Apparently all of those dadblame dancing bananas messed up my eyes when I was creating my ticker! It is now corrected!

Happy Wednesday everyone.

Making door signs....I still have some work to do, since I am making them for DH & myself, plus the rest of our party....which is only an additional three doors. Have the rough drafts now to get my "son" to work on them, since he is the graphic artist in the house. :artist:

I want to see my hard earned money, that I paid toward his college in good use. :teeth:
