We just got back from voting. Kathy, you'll be proud of us ... we voted FOR Issue 7: Bringing back the live bands on the Promenade :lmao:

HI GREG!!!! 'Bout time you showed up!!! You know, we've heard a lot about you! :rolleyes1

Shell,
That's great! I love issue #7!!

Lorna,
there is an area where shuttles drop you off right in front of the fence at the port. You could probably stand there until the port opens at 10. there are security people around the area, so even though you are on the road side it should be safe. No seats there . You will have to stand. there is a roof over the area so you will be protected from the weather. ;)

Kathy

Yep...I just got back from voting too...
The governers race was between Ken Blackwell (R) and Pluto, the dog....
My dad always said if its between a (R) and a dog...vote for the dog, sooooo.....(oh, who are you kidding....---you'd vote for Disney characters any day of the week and you know it!!!!)

Don't get all political on me, now....I'm one of those  who votes for a person, not a party....(do I need to duck to avoid the rocks being thrown?) :rolleyes1

Have a good evenin kids.....

Carrie, I found a really pretty eggplant-colored gown marked down to $45 online! Don't know what size you are, but if interested, let me know and I can point you in the right direction.

Jeff, I thought about you the other night. Bill was going through all the shoes he would need for this trip ... the sandals, the sneakers, the dress shoes, the water shoes ... I thought, well guess it's not just Jeff that's going "overboard" on the shoes :lmao: .

Thanks Shell, but I've already spent all my clothes money and then some. So I'll just do with what I've got.

My dh has been trying to figure out how many pairs of shoes we'll need to take. He says we'll need a whole bag just for shoes. He may be right.

Kathy and I are extremely anxious for this cruise, although, Kathy is always extremely excited about cruising, actually, if as long as I keep her in upcoming cruises I have peace in my house.

Greg, The Hammer[/QUOTE]
Hello Greg great to meet you, now my husbands name is Wally... or according to Shell, dreamboat Wally :lovestruc ...when you meet him just tell him....if you want peace in your house keep Denise with up coming cruises.....just mention that every time you see him :teeth: I'd really appreciate that very much.. :)

Kathy, I will try very hard to post at work. They really frown on us using the internet on "company" time. So when my boss is at a meeting or not in I usually try to get on and post.... so maybe tomorrow..I think she has a metting in the morning. So please dont crack that whip yet....I just may make up for it on the ship..... :rotfl:

Boy everyone has been very chatty: I took me over 30 minutes to catch up.

Tom: Sorry to hear about your hard times, however, it does seem like this made you a stronger person. Have fun with the new puppies... :)

Well today was another loooooong day. I guess I am soooo good at my job and effeciant that I am usually done before lunch, which in turn makes for a very long afternoon. But I am off friday and monday so tuesday next week will keep me busy trying to catch up. But that's fine with me, I prefer being busy.

I came home tonight and put my tiara on....Talked to wally for a while but he didnt even notice it at first. Then I said, hey, I'm a queen...I need to wear this... :rotfl: He just kinda rolled his eyes......OK girls...we are gonna have sooo much fun with our men this trip..... :thumbsup2

Well gonna watch dancin.....so far Mario just scored 30 points....

Later

Please prepare for a Canadian question:

So - this voting you guys are talking about - could this mean Bush doesn't stay the President?? Or is it voting for something else? I think it is called 'mid-term' voting - maybe I heard it on the radio?

Sorry - I am fairly apathetic in my own country's election and therefore fairly ignorant of yours.

:welcome: :welcome: Greg!!!

Glad you joined in with our bunch of    for real!!

Just put DD in bed -- she's so excited because we finally assembled her princess loft bed last night while she slept. I now have some peace & quiet for another hour or so.

Denise, are you sure you don't want to come work with us?? We are getting soooo busy at work that I need time to go more slowly. :hourglass What's with these people -- all of a sudden they need to insure their new car or house, or want health or life insurance, blah, blah, blah. Don't they realize we have a cruise to get ready for? :confused3 (And our new guy is gone for the week attending a funeral in Montana, so I can't even take a day off.) Bill is quoting commercial insurance for a paving company -- he said the commissions could pay for another cruise -- now he's talking my language! :cool1: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a good evening everyone!!!

Cheri

Nope, sorry Sarah. Our presidential election isn't until 2008. We vote every November for a number of federal, state and local things ... so in Ohio this year, we vote for governor (TG), one US senator, state senators and reps, local offices, and state and local issues.

For the woman whose country has brought me Degrassi (so I can forever feel like a teen!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ):

Bush will get to stay president, but we are voting for National Congress (Representatives) and some Senators. Every Congressional seat is up for election (2 yr term) and 33 Senators are up for election (6 year term). There are also some state governors, representatives and senators as well as other local offices being voted upon.

They call it "mid-term" because it's half-way between presidential elections.

Does this make sense?? I'm sure some political junkies can clarify!

Just to add to what Shell mentioned earlier -- Illinois didn't have any US senators up for election this time, but we voted for US rep., state governor, and a bunch of other state/local offices.

Carrie - the last time we cruised in August we DID take a bag for shoes. With three girls and me (the male Imelda Marcos) :lmao: we had to take a small duffle bag that was only shoes. It actually worked out great in terms of packing ease.

Hi there, Our trip to Frankenmuth was fun. I ate way too much as always and left feeling stuffed :crazy2: We went to Brohnners that was fun. It is a huge store. You could stay there for hours. We went through it rather quick today.

Here is some pixiedust: pixiedust: for all of you who are sick. I hope you get better soon.

Kathy thanks for the information. Does'nt sound to difficult.

Bob thanks for all of the quotes today. Enjoyed reading them.

I am hoping to start a door sign soon. There is still so much to do!! I need to get my suit cases out. I just keep piling things up. Time is running out :hourglass I better get busy. We leave 2 weeks from Thursday :goodvibes

Good night all. Have to get the girls off to bed. :cloud9:

Lorna :firefight

Um, Tonya? My tee shirt has a banana chasing a turkey, not a guy chasing a banana . . . is mine the only one like that???

Hi Hammer, we've been waiting for you.

Did someone remember to tell the new girls about the Tiaras? Ladies, if you haven't heard it already, we're (the crazy ones anyway) wearing tiaras. Some of the braver (?) of us are wearing them for embarkation. Everyone else who has one is wearing them for formal night. That's when Mutt is wearing his red high tops, too. Two sources are www.tiaratown.com and www.glitterdiva.com.

I packed a box to mail to the world today - it has lowered my pile considerably. Also tossing in tape, scissors and a return label so when I get ready to leave for the port, I can put in my WDW stuff and drop it at the post office.

Before that, Dimples got some encouragement to go through her wardrobe and select some things for some friends who are, as yet, unclothed. We put those in the box too, for some bears we'll meet after the cruise.

Is it possible to post a poll in a thread? . . . I was thinking about sponsoring a door sign contest to be judged after we get back . . .

ummm Linda are we just wearing them twice......I was hoping to wear it the whole cruise.....I mean this is our one chance to be queen for a week..... :rotfl:

Well goodnight everyone and talk with ya all tomorrow

You should go ahead and wear yours everywhere you go!! Might as well take advantage of being "royal" while you can! :rotfl2:

Night all!!

Good Morning everyone!!
TWO weeks from today DH and I are flying to Orlando!! POFQ here we come!!!

Being fairly new to the voting "thing" I didn't vote yesterday. (I registered in time for the 2004 election) I honestly didn't even think NH was having any real candidates because I never really saw any campain stuff. Most of our TV stations are out of Vermont or Upstate New York, so I learned about all of THEIR candidates... (sad but true!)
By the time I realized that NH was voting too, it was too late to find out about the candidates and what they stand for... And like Mutt, I would Vote for a person, not a party.

Any how.... I wonder if it was a little planned on dancing with the stars that they all ended up with the same over all score??

Good morning to all,
well our rain is gone and suppose to be sunny and warm today.
Florida had a tornado touch down in seminole and orange counties last night.
Guess we we were lucky it was only rain here.

Bob, very inspiring quotes!!

Well I got a little more Christmas shopping done yesterday and I wrapped what I bought. I hope to have all presents in the mail that have to be mailed by friday. Then I can think about family that is here.
I know Lynn is way ahead of us when it comes to shopping, but I am trying to catch up.

Well another week is 1/2 over and we are getting really close now!!
I am making a mini Thanksgiving dinner this year since we are leaving on Friday for Cocoa beach, I dont want a lot of leftovers. Only things I can freeze. So I am having a hard time deciding on dessert. Some dont freeze well or not at all. Maybe we will just have some fancy cookies and ice cream and save the pies for later.

well I am off to let Minnie take me for a walk.
I will check back soon,

Let's keep the posts coming, we have a long way to go in just a few days.
A few of you have legitimate excuses not to post for a couple of days, but the rest of you lets keep it going!!! I am watching!!! :rotfl2:

Kathy
