Wild. Lodge boat to Cont.?

And remember the boats (when they do run between WL, FW, CR) run only in ONE direction IIRC. Somebody will have to tell me what direction (clockwise or counter-clockwise) that is. I used to know before the covid shutdown but don't know the current direction because I haven't used it since then.

But it is ONLY in one direction. Not a show stopper but it helps to know that it might be a longer ride with an extra stop and not a direct ride to where you want to go.

Not sure if it changed recently, but in September the boats were running in both directions, we had the option of boats going to Wilderness Lodge first or Ft Wilderness first from the Contemporary. Was going to just take the Ft Wilderness boat since we had already waited like 45 minutes for even one boat to show up, but the CM told us to wait for the WL one instead since it should come soon and would get us there faster being the first stop, and sure enough it arrived just before the Ft Wilderness boat pulled away.

That's a good message, @VAtink. That's how it was pre-covid.

For a while after covid, there were not WL-FW-CR boats running.

In recent years, the WL-FW-CR boat ran but only in one direction and only after a certain time of day (3pm?).

So that's good news and new news to me - thank you for sharing that. :thumbsup2 I learn something new on the DIS every day.

PS - now just have to figure out what the time-of-day on these bi-directional boats is. Pre-covid, these boats ran even in the early morning so FW guests could get to CR for the Mickey character breakfast in the cavernous lobby (forget the name) and I'm sure they ran for WL guests too. We were at the Fort this past November 2024 but did not attempt this kind of boat ride.

Posted evening End time is listed as 10:45 PM as @OKW Lover posted but that time is always subject to change. You will want to confirm with one of the captains when you catch a Blue Flag boat.

That's what I knew from my past visits as I posted, @Dave006. Ending times depend on more factors including MK closing times plus other events in the 3 resort circle, no?

Again, I await the time when demand will drive this boat route to be available like it was pre-covid. I think guests of all three resorts (CR, FW, WL) would benefit from the expanded transportation options.

Good talk. 🤜🤛 Let's do it again soon. Bama Ed

No, they close around 10:45 every night. The variable is only because two guys can’t close three docks all at the same time. I would be at the dock of whichever resort you are currently at by 10:30 to make sure you catch the last boat.
