For the first time in years of visiting WDW I came away very disappointed last evening at the MK
A few minutes prior to 5pm last night I walked up to the CHH to be told they were closing. Fine - I was there for the Xmas party and knew this would be a snack location so the closing made sense.
HOWEVER.... I asked where else would I be able to order the gluten free chicken strips -
The CM walked back into the CHH spoke to their manager and told me that all locations had the same allergy menu items.
I didn't believe this was the case but okay worth a shot - I headed to the Plaza restaurant and no openings. Was told to try Peco's.
I walked accross the park to Peco's to be told - nope no hot chicken of any sort.... Lovely, ok where can I go now - CHH (they are closed....) and was told to go to the food "cart" around the corner for chicken nuggets - oh they are gluten free? - No......
Finally a manager comes out and tells me that CHH is the only place on property that has the gluten free chicken strips
WTH I've been all over the park at this point - no food - and the manager at the CHH didn't know they were the only location to stock this item
Disgusted I left and walked up to Caseys - I'll just grab some fries - nope no dedicated fryer..... Finally I ended up at Cosmic Rays with a grilled chicken sandwhich and baked fries. Finally some food
In the end I was almost glutened by a CM who tried to send me to a "cart" with regular chicken nuggets, lost valuable park time - as this was my only time at a park (quick business trip) and walked wayyyyy to freaking far to get something to eat. AND the CHH manager didn't know what the other quick service locations had?????????
Disney really let me down this trip
