Just back from a weekend trip to WDW - which was awesome - as usual. We did the Wild Africa Trek Sunday and it was just okat. Good - not bad.
We enjoyed it and are glad we did it, but I was expecting a little bit more. We paid $189 and I would say that I would not feel good if I had paid more than that. Not sure we'd recommend it to friends.
The experience was cool, please don't get me wrong. And I do not have much negative to say, but there was not a real "wow" factor to it.
It was neat to walk through the wooded areas and along narrow paths. It was cool to "gear-up" and get close to the animals and walk across the bridge over the crocs. Lunch on the savannah was nice, but I wish we had more time there to relax and admire the setting. I guess I was underwhelmed.
I would say that if it's a stretch for you money-wise to skip it. If you have the cash and are looking for something new and mildly exciting to do - check it out.
Can't wait to get the photo CD in the mail to see what pictures they took of us.
If you have questions, let me know.
