Has anyone been to this park? How was it, & is it good for teens? How about things I need to know, such as getting the best price on tickets, & the best places to stay with a pet?

We have a trip to UO planned for the end of July, but would like to fit in something else, since our DS is already off for the summer. This trip would be on a serious budget, since we have 2 other family vacations planned this year. That doesn't mean we'd be willing to stay just anywhere though. I'm pretty picky, when it comes to hotels. We can drive there in about 3 hrs., so that's a plus.

Any info. you can provide would be much appreciated. :)

This park is the sister park to Cypress Gardens which is located about 20 minutes from my house. The website is pretty good.

Wild Adventures

I haven't been to WA but CG is a lot of fun.

HTH. :)

I went there once, but just for a day, so I can only tell you about the park.

I enjoyed it. They had two really good roller coasters when I went, plus a pretty lagre kids section and some water rides. It is not a huge park, you can do it in one day.

Back when I went, they said they were building a waterpark next to it. I never got to go to it, but you might wat to check it out if you can.

How long have you lived there? Were you there, before CG was shut down for awhile? If so, how has it changed? We've been there several times, but it was before the new ownership took over. My niece played YBOA basketball in Winter Haven several years in a row & the opening ceremonies were always there. We actually live closer to CG, but I thought we'd try WA since we've never been there. :)

Thanks for the info. :) I noticed they have a 2nd day free with a pass purchase, so we may go for awhile the next day before heading home. It just depends on whether or not our DS needs a last coaster fix. :teeth:

I noticed they have concerts on some Sat. nights. It would be nice to be able to go to one of those too.

A waterpark would be great! We usually enjoy those more than amusement parks. :sunny:

We've only lived here since Nov. 2004 so I missed that whole decline thing. What I can tell you is that now the park is lovely.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Here are mine.

Cypress Gardens

I think you'd really enjoy a day or two there. CG is HUGE so bring your best walking shoes and take time to really check out the floral displays as well as the rides.

Wild Adventures is a fun place. We've been there 2X but it's been awhile (3 yrs I guess). We did it as a day trip from my sisters house once, and stayed near by once. I can't remember the name of the place, but it was one of your typical chain motels. We were just there to sleep, the rooms were nice and clean. It was an exit north of wild adventures I believe. right next door to a really good steak type restaurant. It was right at the exit off of 75.
