Wii remotes

Does anyone know if the wii remotes sold in America work on our system, I know the games don't but was wondering if the handsets do? as they are a bit cheaper

As the wii remotes run off of batteries, and not from the mains. I see no reason why they would not work. Its just like buying anything portable like a gameboy etc.

yes the remotes and all other accessories should work fine.
