Wii- need which games advice and tips

I just got Wii for my boyfriend for his bday. He usually doesn't play video games but that is because he wont spend that kind of money on himself. He is having fun with it I got him the Cabela's Dangerous Hunt 2011. He is loving it Takes time to learn how to use controllers and gun, but doing well. I also got him NHL Slapshot bundle for xmas. We have a 17 year old who has PS3 and hasn't played Wii much yet. Now I am looking for tips for good games for him (hockey, sports, Harley Biker, fishing, boating, sking, hunting) and for all of us to play too. DD likes games shows and think "Are you smarter than a Fifth grader" would be fun. Anyone have ideas for him and family fun? And what do you all suggest for additional controllers and such. Are Wii the best or can we use generics? Where is best to buy games? Any hints you can give me so I don't buy what we don't need would be great. THANKS!!!

p.s. I am looking at reviews on Amazon to get a feel for good games.

Sports Resort is a lot of fun for a family game. When we have a lot of people over we play that and everyone had a blast. We recently found out how fun the Band hero or Rock Band games can be. SIL got one and my boys (7&4) love it. She sent video of them all playing so we got Band Hero for the big Christmas gift. Certainly never something I thought we'd enjoy, but it is fun. Mario Kart is also a good one. We don't have a lot of family ones, those are all I can help with, but ones we do enjoy!

Madden11 Football. My grandsons, son, and son inlaw love the Madden games. One asked for the new 11 for Christmas this year.
