Has anyone ever purchased the e-book from wiifixitguide? Is it a yay or nay?

Our Wii is on the fritz and my husband is trying to fix it. He opened it up (out-of-warranty), and tried cleaning it. He almost had it working! The Wii started to read teh discs again, load up games - but then quits...

Any ideas? Please?

I just took ours in a couple of weeks ago. It wouldn't read the discs anymore. We have had ours for about 3 years and the game store we took it to said the hard drives go out in them every few years. He said xboxes do the same thing. So for $45 plus labor=$63... It's fixed and works good as new!
