I just read on another board that the Wiggles will be at Disney late August. Has anybody else heard this? If so do they know the dates, and where???

I heard the same thing - I also heard that they will feature The Doodlebops and a special magic show. I'll be curious to see who has more info on this!

I heard the same thing. I don't know anything more than you but I'm hoping someone has some more details!! I checked the Wiggles web site and there isn't anything about it there.

I read the dates on some other thread somewhere on this board (can't find it now) but the also mentioned that the dates were at Intercot website so I went there and pulled this. Hope this helps. I (or more accurately my daughter) will be bummed because we will miss the Doodlebops. These dates were listed as tentative. I believe the shows are to take place at MGM.

Playhouse Disney In-Concert

Mickey Mouse Magic Show: 8/16/06-8/19/06
Doddlebops: 8/20/06-8/23/06
Mickey Mouse Magic Show: 8/24/06-8/27/06
Wiggles: 8/29/06-9/1/06

Do a search for "magical beginnings" and you find more threads with info.
I just posted lots of info earlier that I got from CRO on this.

Wiggles will be at MGM Aug 29- Spt1

And there are alot of other things going on for little ones to participate in.

Here's some info from this week's All Ears newsletter:

Also today, Disney announced a new program called Magical Beginnings, custom-designed to reduce hassles and increase the magic for families traveling with toddlers or preschoolers. The new Magical Beginnings program offers value travel packages, entertainment, targeted planning tools and a host of services and amenities to make navigating Disney parks with children 5 and younger easier than ever. There is a even a travel season designated just for "little ones." In addition to the previously announced Magic Your Way vacation package that includes the free dining plan, available for stays between August 13 and September 30, here are some other highlights of what's been dubbed "Little Ones Travel Time":

-- a series of shows called "Playhouse Disney in Concert" (presented by Huggies and Pull-Ups) will feature a variety of kid crowd-pleasers. The award-winning Australian foursome The Wiggles will perform multiple shows daily, August 29- September 1. Other shows will include: The Doodlebops; Johnny & the Sprites, featuring Johnny Tartaglia; Dan Zanes and more. In addition, the new "Mickey's Magic Show" created by Feld Entertainment, will make its first-ever park appearance.

-- Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom will open an hour early on select days for Disney guests and their small-fry for favorites such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, it's a small world and Peter Pan's Flight, and the play area, Pooh's Playful Spot. Plus, youngsters can meet favorite characters during the special edition Extra Magic Hours. While guests must have Resort ID and valid ticketing for Fantasyland Extra Magic Hours, there is no additional charge to enjoy this extra time in the parks. This early access allows families with young ones to get an early start to their day and maximize park time before heading back to their Disney resort for an afternoon break.

Special on-line planning tools will also be available as part of the new program, including a Magical Beginnings in-park map highlighting age-appropriate attractions, hassle-reducing services, and specially trained Disney reservation agents. For more information, visit http://www.disneyworld.com and select "Something For Everyone" and choose "Preschoolers" for more details and travel tips. Bookings for the new travel package during the Little Ones Travel Time at Walt Disney World can be made through June 4 by calling 407-WDW-PREK, or by visiting http://www.Disneyworld.com/preK . I just found this on the LaughingPlace website

Walt Disney World Resort has created an exciting seven-week travel period filled with savings and special events ideal for youngsters and parents during a traditionally less busy time of year.

From Aug. 13 to Sept. 30, these families can enjoy a new package that offers free dining for the entire family. Packages include a five-day, four-night stay at a value resort, "Magic Your Way" theme park tickets and free Disney Dining plan (one table-service meal, one snack and one quick-service meal per day). Packages begin at $950 for two adults and one child (ages 3-9), $173 per additional child.

Throughout the special travel time Disney will showcase dynamic concerts and special entertainment for little ones. "Playhouse Disney in Concert," presented by Huggies and Pull-Ups brands, includes performances by Disney Channel favorites The Wiggles, who will perform multiple shows daily, Aug. 29-Sept. 1. The award-winning Australian foursome will rouse the crowd with songs like "Yummy, Yummy" and "Big Red Car" as they headline a kid-friendly concert at Disney-MGM Studios. Youngsters can dance and sing along with other favorites including the Doodlebops; Johnny & the Sprites, featuring Johnny Tartaglia; Dan Zanes and more -- all scheduled to appear during the seven-week travel time. Plus, Disney Live family entertainment featuring the new "Mickey's Magic Show" created by Feld Entertainment will make its first-ever park appearance.

I wish the special shows were running longer than 4 days!

I am so sad. My son loves the wiggles (and so do I!!) and we arrive 9/2/06. To bad we have unrefundable plane tickets, I wonder how hard it would be to change them?!?!?!

The plane tickets are easy to change, but it could get costly depending on how many people you have and what the current fares are. There is a change fee (varies depending by airline) plus the difference in fare. Call your airline or travel agent to get the specifics.

We are supposed to go in September, but we are leaning towards changing to August since we have 2 huge Wiggles fans! (Ummm, make that 3 if you count me!) I am keeping my fingers crossed that dh's bonus comes in early enough to go in August!

The Wiggles rock! :cool1:

Cant wait to see the WIGGLES my one year old sees them on t.v and says iggles! iggles! how cute is that :goodvibes :yay:

I wonder where they are actually going to have the concerts. The Wiggles one will probably be a madhouse!

We're going 9/1 as it is now and I'm trying to talk DH into changing it to 8/31 so we can catch the Wiggles - his main concern is the venue and if we will actually get to be where DD can enjoy them and really see them. He's afraid it will be so crowded it won't be enjoyable and so it wouldn't be worth it. I just can't imagine Disney not planning for it to be mobbed though.....maybe they'll have them at the Indy stage of B&B stage.

I saw the Wiggles with my son and husband last summer. At the time my son was 2 1/2. It was a pretty big arena and from what I could tell, even people with seats a distance from the stage had a great time. Each member of the group comes into the crowd, and performs a song. Each section got to see everyone up close. I think if you are going rearrange a trip to see them, you won't be disappointed. I'm glad I have a child to go with me bacause call me silly, but I enjoy then too.

We will be there Aug 12-Aug 19 and my kids would love the Mickey Magic Show!! Does anyone know if you have to purchase special tickets for these events or are they included in your MGM admission? Thanks !!
