At the Boardwalk. Arrived today. I can't imagine that WiFi could be any worse. Just as bad at Epcot

we've stayed at AKV (both Jambo & Kidani), BLT, VWL and BWV since they switched to wi fi only internet service. It has been poor everywhere we stayed.

In May we stayed at BWV and I thought it was no better or worse than anywhere else. Rumor has it that the lobby wi fi is pretty good but we didn't use it.

I agree! We were there in May at BWV in a room next to the elevator, and the internet kept switching back and forth from in-room guest to disney public guest. i wished they would go back to the hard wire(that will never happen).

The contract for Wi-Fi at the resorts has several years to go, I can't remember who the provider is.

Wi-Fi and cell service for the areas away from the resorts including the parks, backstage etc. was awarded to AT&T and that service seems better.

I opened a ticket with support and it looks like it might now be fixed. I've been on line for 10 minutes at the resort without getting kncocked off. My phone is accessing wifi now as well. If the contractor is that bad there should be a way to invalidate the contract. I'm hoping this was a one-off issue. I'll post back if status changes.
