Wifi Strong Enough in Rooms to Join/Host a Virtual Meeting?

This is totally crazy, but I am considering booking a $200/roundtrip, last-minute flight/trip to join my Mom for a few days at WDW. The only snag is I need to host (really connect to and have a strong internet connection) a virtual meeting for work. Is the wifi strong enough in the rooms for me to do this? I use the virtual meeting platform Zoom if that helps.

We haven't had great success with wif in the the rooms (nor regular service) -- AOA was the worst a few years back. I regularly use my phone as a hot spot. Maybe you could try that if the wifi isn't great?

Both my husband and I have been able to attend virtual meetings in various rooms at WDW, my system is Zoom, not sure what his is. We tend to only do this towards the middle of the day though when I assume, unless bad weather, more people are in the parks. We tend to have more issues with the wifi in the evenings as a general, but not hard and fast, rule.

I've always been able to host/use Zoom meetings with no problems on-site, but I do have my cell phone as a back up if I need to tether my connection to that.

Thanks for your input!

Good to know... The meeting would be at 6:30 pm, so something to consider.

Wifi can be a bit tricky as you never know how many others are online at that exact time or how strong the signal might be at your particular room. If hosting an important meeting, perhaps using one of the onsite business center locations is preferable. When you connect with a cable/wire to the internet, it is usually more reliable. The Disney website lists several of their hotels where they have this and you do not need to be guest of that hotel to use those services.

I also suggest using one of the business centers to host your virtual meeting.

Can someone explain how the business center would be better? I’ve gone to the BCV business center office to pick up and ship packages. There is a counter with employees behind it. Is there space I don’t know about to use the internet? And how do you know it would be a good connection?

Business Centers have an Ethernet port for wired service. It is MUCH more reliable than the wifi!
