I just returned from my vacation @ Wyndham Bonnet Creek (timeshare).

Sorry to say ... WiFi only

The option for High Speed Internet connection (via phone or otherwise)
and bring your own router ... is no longer available.

Informaion was given at Front Desk ... Main Building and Building 6

I can confirm this info is correct in Tower 4 and Tower 6
...............................................................................................

By the way if you get an inferior suite location (own preference)
you can pay a housekeeping fee ($99.00) to move the next day ...
to a better room location (preference) that may become available.

Bell service will make the move for you ... no problem
(if you have other plans for the day)

This option (room change) appears to be a semi standard request
and operates very smoothly within their system ... for the fee.

Thanks for the update.

How was your experience with the WiFi? Was the signal strength decent? Any service interruptions?

I can confirm the same from Tower 5 after a stay about 2 weeks back. I brought a router with me, but after searching high and low I could not find any evidence of an Ethernet link coming into the 2BR suite to plug the router into. Guess I'll save the packing space next year by leaving the router at home :(

And, unfortunately, the provided Wi-Fi is woefully bad. It is the type of service where you have to visit a webpage and apply a generic 'code' every 24 hours or so (seemed relatively random to me though).

The service is OK during the day but gets worse in the evening (as people return to their rooms from parks). I would find that the service would frequently hang and a disconnect/reconnect was in order. I have an AT&T broadband card in my laptop and ended up using that most of the time but the rest of the family didn't have that luxury.

So there's no thing in the phone anymore? I went twice last year, the first time, I could not use the internet on my laptop because it would not prompt me to login to the signal no matter what I tried. Second trip, I brought a router and had no problems. Unless something has changed, I won't be able to use the internet at all anymore on my laptop.

... I brought my own router and was unable to use it ...
because WBC does not have a Internet Connection Option ... other than WiFi.

I personally asked both Front Desks ... can I use High Speed.
Answer is ... No ... WiFi only ... no High Speed Internet Connection (wired).

WiFi reception was not so good in Tower 6 (kept dropping/freezing).

Tower 4 WiFi was Better
Routers can be seen on wall of Tower 4 - in hallways
about one per wing (left or right of elevator).

That said ... as with all multi user WiFi connections ...
Satisfaction will depend on your Location and Signal Strength ... etc.

There was an RJ-45 jack on the back of the phone, but the phone itself was only connected to a standard RJ-11 telephone jack, so I immediately discounted the possibility that there was any high-speed internet access via the phone. I didn't try though, as not all RJ-45 jacks are necessarily Ethernet, so I didn't want to accidentally fry the phone or my router.

If you want to give it a shot, you can, but as another poster said, even the front desk claims no wired connectivity in rooms.

And, to reiterate what they said and what I said earlier, the Wi-Fi is pretty woeful. My only experience was in Tower 5 about 2 weeks ago with frequent lock ups and disconnects. AT&T broadband was better, but not everyone is going to have that option in their laptop, nor want to spend the $$ on it. If you have the ability to wirelessly tether to an unlimited cell phone plan, that may work as well.
