Wifi at USF/IOA?

I've read a little while ago that Universal rolled out free wifi near the new Harry Potter annex to interact with the posters on the construction walls. Now, I have since read that they took that down again on one site and on another that it's now resort wide. While I found the original source for the wifi info, for the life of me I can't find the two conflicting sources of info about wifi being taken down and being expanded anymore. Does anyone have more info about in-park wifi?

I'd love to be able to check wait times online on my phone. I don't have a data plan on my phone though that works in the US (I'm from out of the country) and using roaming for that would rack up roaming charges that would probably give me a heart attack.

Any info on in-park wifi I'd appreciate :)

I'll check on Sunday when we go over however we were there about 2 weeks ago and never saw any free wireless show up on my phone. Just the usual secured sites that US uses for their operations. This was in then original US and not IOA. We were in the Beetle juice show and walked over by MIB which we passed the construction walls. My phone would have alerted me to a new wireless connection over there.

They do have free wifi in the old Jaws/Amity area (where they are building the harry potter expansion in the Studios) I think they have it up for the screenplay phone app, but it works in general.

That was in June or so though, I haven't tried recently. They may be expanding it, but that area for sure I think has it.

It looks like this is more widespread now, covering most of the park in the studios. They do not have this up in IOA, yet.

If you look for the SSID UNIVERSAL in the park and connect (and click I accept in a browser)l you'll get on.

Thank you so much for checking! I'm most concerned with USF because of the popularity of Minion Mayhem, Transformers and Simpsons. They have so single rider so I'd like to catch those at a short wait without constantly having to be in the area to check. IOA I'm not so much concerned about since HP has single rider.

We were over there last night for HHN. I found the new wifi, but its seems to be hit or miss, and may still have issues, either due to geography or the number of antennaes they have out for it. I found it while sitting at Rocky Horror, but the signal got weak near Richters, got better in the old amity area, and on the far side of MIB, by the restrooms, was almost non existent. Not sure on the springfield side of the park though. When I connected to it, it gave me a screen to accept the user agreement, and when i did, it kept looping back to that page. Finally go it to go thru at some point, and some things were working if not slow. My wife on the other hand, somehow bypassed the accept page, and went right to the USF page.

I was there on Friday and was never able to connect to the wi-fi. I attempted 2-3 times and it just kept getting frozen.

I was there Sep 29 and was able to get the free Universal wifi while sitting at a water side table in Duff Gardens. Pretty good and once connected, seemed steady signal. You need to do the 'website agree to terms' at first. This was early afternoon.
