Hi I have an iphone and dont want to get any high costs when i go next feb, I assume i need to turn the 3g off and i wont get charged anything? is that right?

I would like to just use the wifi spots if possible,, i know when i went in 2010 there was hardly any and i used the wired connection at OKW just to send some messages home. Does the parks have any wifi now? Does POFQ have it as planning on staying there next visit? if so is it easy to use and how much to use or is it free?

Any help would be great.

Just turn off DATA ROAMING and you should be fine
Wifi in Magic Kingdom is quite good but here at OKW, the connection keeps dropping despite numerous calls to the I.T. Company
Wifi connection is free

Oddly, I believe Typhoon Lagoon is the next park to get the free wifi too :)

Yes, because people need access to free wifi to post pictures of themselves enjoying the waterparks to facebook and twitter, to make their friends jealous. That kind of thing simply cannot wait until they get back to their rooms!! :rolleyes2

You would think they would do the four parks and resorts, then waterparks as the last point!

Maybe Disney have shares in an electronics company hoping to cash in on those replaced waterlogged devices :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Wouldn't surprise me, Disney has shares in just about everybody and vice versa. Big Bu$iness makes the world go round don'tcha know? :thumbsup2

It's probably a logisitical thing - speaking from a technical point of view they would run cables over the shortest distances first, so they'll be extending the 'lines' from OKW and SSR to TL. Next will probably be EPCOT, as it's flanked by Beach Club, Boardwalk, and CBR. :goodvibes

Just the question I was going to ask. I'll make sure I turn data roaming off! :thumbsup2

My husband posted on facebook from the surf pool and castaway creek last year for exactly that reason! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have heard epcot has now got wifi, was posted on a facebook group

I hope all four parks will have it by sept 3rd. I'm allowed to dream, right :rolleyes1 I'm not interested in waisting any time on twitter of facebook, but would be nice to be able to check queue times and FP times on their app.

DD said the wifi at MK was good (as compared to the rubbish wifi at the resort)...

she even booked some ADRs while she was there using the my disney experience app

Wasn't Steve Jobs (apple) Disney's biggest single shareholder at one point?

Those iPads are notoriously allergic to water aren't they?

Our first day at Disney today and can confirm wifi at Caribbean beach is good - and so too is Epcot was able to i-message my daughter whilst they dud phineus and ferb and DH and I wandered around world showcase
