WiFi at AKL

Is there free WiFi all throughout the Animal Kingdom Lodge? I'd like to take my laptop with me, but I won't bother if I have to pay extra for it.

I'm not sure if there's WiFi in the AKL public areas, but if there is, the fee is $9.95 for 24 hours of use.

The AKL hotel rooms have hi-speed access, the fee is also $9.95 for 24 hours of use, and is separate from the WiFi fee.

If you are DVC members, then wired internet in your room is free (starting 1/1/08)

When we were there in Sept. there was no WiFi in the lobby area. We had to access through the room at 10.00 (9.95) a day!

You can use dial-up in your room by accessing a local 407 number. We have AOL on our laptop and use the dial-up to check our mail. There used to be a $.75 per call charge, but on our last 3 trips in 2007 there was no charge. We used the dial-up at ASSp, AKL, and BCV.

Well, that is disappointing. I've yet to be at a hotel that doesn't offer free WiFi...but then again this is a good reason for me to leave my laptop and work at home!!
