Wife advice ;)

What should I do next?

  • Arrange another prank and film it this time?

  • Leave now...French Foreign Legion needs people?

  • Stare back ... thereby making everyone uncomfortable?

  • Quickly change the topic and discuss Disney?

Okay, while cutting my son's fingernails, I put some ketchup on his finger and had him scream "Dad cut my finger with the clippers" and run towards his mother. Okay, it didn't take long for the "War Department" to figure out this was a prank ... now she is looking at me with that look. I figure, either she is plotting a revenge ... or I'm going to get lucky. Never could tell with that look. :confused3

Need advice; hence the poll .... Should I ...

Oh Ted, I don't know what to answer to that poll, cause if "the look" is a get lucky look, I would def pull another prank and tape it, but if "the look" is plotting revenge, I would probably have to go with "run for the hills" cause the wife revenge is nothing like the hubbies, so you should be very afraid. :stir: god help you!

Let me tell you a story Ted...
Last winter my husband was taking my son tobogganing. I am a bit of a worry wart. It's just how I am and nowhere does it rear it's head more than with my babies. Husband knows this and teases me often.
I didn't want him to take ds (7) to the "big hill" in town because the thing becomes pure ice, and the older kids build ramps and it's HUGE. I of course was picturing some sort of accident and wanted them to go to the small hill.
He teased me, I huffed and puffed and then relented.

So Captain Prankster decided to text me on their way home that they were "going to be late.. broken arm.. "

He thought this would be fine, and that I would know he was teasing me because I had said "I don't want someone to break their arm." I on the other hand got frantic and called him right away.

Let's just say there were no injuries but a very upset wife and I gave him the look for a few days over that one.

So my vote is to leave now. The French Foreign Legion is waiting.:rotfl:

Well let me say this about that- if you still think after years of marriage that when your wife gives you THE LOOK you have even a remote chance of getting lucky anytime in the forseeable future, all hope is lost. And if you try to act on the assumption that THE LOOK is anything other than what it is, you may actually be in iminent danger.

Arranging another prank and filming it will only compound your time sleeping on the couch.

Leaving for the French Foreign Legion will only delay the inevitable- a PO'd wife's memory is long and so is her reach. You can run but you can't hide.

Staring back is futile. No one can outstare a wife and mother once she has perfected THE LOOK. Other men have tried, only to be reduced to a snivelling puddle at their wives feet.

Changing the topic to Disney -and offering a free upgrade to a Deluxe resort with a spa day thrown in - now THAT might just work. :rotfl:

You need another option for your poll--I think you should apologize to your wife.

I'm seriously thinking that "the look" is NOT a "you're about to get lucky" one. :rotfl: I think you need to quickly take advantage of the promo that just got released Jan 3rd and book a trip to WDW ... THEN you might get forgiven AND lucky ;) !

So Ted............what did you choose to do?

And a better question yet might be.....are you still ALIVE? :confused3

Option 4 was the safest choice in my risk analysis ... things like ... "Honey, did you check your email for a PIN", or "Do we need two nights at Boma or more?" ... I think this is called duck and hide! :cool1: Survived another day! ;)

Good to hear you are still alive and well Ted! I was starting to get worried!

What would we do without you if the worst thing happened. Let this be a lession, don't mess with a womans' mind.

where's the 'like' button :rotfl2:

As a wife, I can confirm that the look means danger. My DH goes to the basement immediately.

Clearly your poll needs to be multiple choice. You must:

D) talk about Disney

while A) Plotting your next prank

She'll be none the wiser....
