Wide world of sports

In all my years of going to "the world" I have never been to wide world of sports.

Whilst out for a walk today my kids spotted a football match and they were both fixated on it, so hubby mentioned that maybe we could take them to a sports game, I like the idea of baseball!

If there is a game on does our ultimate ticket get us into the complex? If there are no games on is it worth a visit still?

It does not give much detail on costs, I am guessing these events are not included with the ticket?!

No the events aren't usually included with the ticket. We went to The Cheerleading Worlds there in April 2013 (absolutely amazing!) and we had to use our park hoppers to enter WWoS and the event tickets were extra.

We went to our very first baseball game there. It was a 'parrot head' game (no idea!). It was a great experience, we sat behind the batter, had lots of people sit next to us and explain the intricacies of the game. Every so often, at changes of ends, they had the children come onto the pitch and play silly games which everyone loved. There were fireworks at the end of the game and then there was a band playing at the side of the pitch, which we didn't stay for. A really great night.

It looks like the Atlanta Braves have several exhibition games (ticketed) during their training camp. Does anyone know if you can go on non-game days to just watch them work out in the field?

I think we prebooked our parrot head game, but it wasn't full. I think it was only about $8 each, but it was a while ago.
