Headed to Disneyland again in just 29 days. I have heard about the wide right at California Adventure for getting the Fast Pass for Radiator Springs Racers and I have seen the thread here before but I can't find it anywhere now. While we have been to Disneyland many times this will be our first visit since Cars Land open. Does anyone know where it is so I can read up on the wide right and refresh my memory. Anyone know where the heck that thread went to and provide a link? Thanks.

It has been mentioned in numerous threads.
Wide Right is not in order to obtain a FP for RSR though. It is a technique used in order to get on the ride first, first thing at opening.
The way it works is a rope will be held at the end of Buena Vista Street. You want to have your group as close to the rope, and as far right as possible. When they begin to walk guests down Route 66, stay to the far right. People will try and jockey for position here, but try to hold your ground. The RSR queue is at the end of R66 on the right. All of the people on the left will have to begin merging over. The people in the front on the right will have an advantage.
The FPs for the ride are located by It's Tough to be a Bug. You can just line up for one of those at opening...no special technique is needed.
Hope that helps.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the wide right applies to going straight to the ride? The fast pass station is on the left side right before a bug's land, so I would try to get as close as possible to the front of the line on the left side at rope drop, that's what I've done and then just walk fast and I've been able to get the passes quickly

Thanks, that's why I wanted to read up on it, didn't remember correctly. Now to decide to fight for a short line or go for the fast pass. Right for the ride, left for the fast pass, got it, thanks.

Go ride Toy Story at rope drop before that line gets long, then get your RSR FP. The FP line will have dwindled by then and the FP's don't run out as quickly as they used to.

I go for TSMM first too, but I grab an RSR FP first. When I get to TSMM, it is still a walk on practically. When your return time for RSR opens, you can grab another for a later ride (if they are still available).

Thanks for the info everyone. I think I'm ready to go wide right.
