I joined in the line at 500 something then got to 300 when VMK crashed..then I had to join at 1000 and room closed when I got to 300! Grrr.

Me too, PirateBell, me too. I didn't do any of these host things last year and now I can see why. I'm looking for Haunted Mansion pins too.

Next time I'll get my behind in there as soon as the room opens so I can at least start out around 300 in line instead of 1000.

Yea.. but I was there looking for the room at 8:25 and then when it shows up at 11:33 .. there is alwasy 5 or 6 hundred already for all the host events for me! Oh well..

I slept in this morning! So, what kinds of pins do you have to trade to get a mansion pin? I may try to get in next week, however, I don't really have any good or rare pins. Do you only get a "good" pin if you trade something rare? How does this work?

You can trade any series pin (weekend pin from Emporium), host pin (ie Club 33), fantasyland dark ride win pin, and I think there was one more kind.
