The movie was excellent, I cried at several points of it. We're planning on seeing it again next week.

I was skeptical of Ariana Grande, too, but she was great in this IMO.

Did anyone watch the SNL when Ariana hosted? She was hilarious! I'm not sure why more of her sense of humor didn't come across in the movie.

That's a really good point. I know I saw the episode, but what's standing out to me are her numerous appearances on Jimmy Fallon. The two of them have a really good rapport and they get quite silly. My kids didn't watch a ton of Victorious, but I know her character was supposed to be one of the funnier ones.

Went yesterday for an encore! Was just as good second time and gave me chance to really look for small details and listen to the story. I'm sure I still missed plenty.

And one more chance to enjoy Jonathan Bailey.

Thank you for the heads up. Saw it 4x in the theater and just preordered it on Amazon for the 31'st. I know what I'm doing New Year's Eve!

Just saw it yesterday, don't remember any LGBTQ content? (Obviously it has witchcraft!) So I guess they can't watch the original Wizard of Oz either.

So if kids didn't watch shows that involved witchcraft or magical powers, would that eliminate about 1/3rd of the shows available? Isn't magic a large part of most childrens' imagination? I guess Star Wars is out for kids....... There are many more things I prefer my kids not watch than some magic in a movie like Wicked - a movie that has a number of good messages for the kids....... BTW - it's an amazing story and a really well done movie and soundtrack. Looking forward to the second half....
