So question - DVC is deluxe (usually) resorts, correct?
Realistically, not all DVC resorts are truly deluxe, but they are still awesome.

My question is why are the value resorts MORE POINTS than the Deluxe DVC resorts?
I mean it costs more points to stay at the All-Star Music than is does at Saratoga Springs for a week.

I'm confused.

THOUGHTS?
(yes I know I should not be looking at value resorts as a DVC member, but I'm curious)

Because they are not "owned" by DVC. DVC has to pay Disney Resorts for the rooms at Value resorts. They do that by "selling" the points you trade in, in the form of cash villas.

They add a margin for discounting and unfilled units.

As a DVC owner you are not staying in a Disney hotel. To trade to a Disney hotel costs DVC in trade.

Saratoga is a Deluxe villa. As far as points, it is like using points for cruises-not a good use of points.
