Why you should never use an FP for EO

Okay so I always hear EO is bad, but I've never experienced it myself.

To me, it looks like one of those things that's so bad it's good... It just looks sooo dated, and the fact that it's Michael Jackson and Anjelica Huston in 3D sci-fi directed by Coppola??? All of it just seems so ridiculous and like it would be fun to watch!

So I guess my question is - are my expectations all wrong? Is Captain EO worth seeing on my Epcot day? Or would it be a waste of time?
I think everyone should see it at least once, just not multiple times per trip like my family.

EO is GREAT in my opinion, in both the so bad it's good and just that I really like it ways. It is a well put-together film. If you like classic Star Wars and Michael Jackson, then it's highly enjoyable. If you don't like MJs music then it will definitely grate on you since it's basically a very elaborate music video.

I like classic Star Wars. I like classic Michael Jackson. I hate EO. ;)

Well, it's not for everybody, that's for sure. I actually dislike the current presentation of it (as opposed to it's original glory) and feel it is time to retire it. I want a 3D copy available to purchase though when they do it.

Remember, they brought it back after his death. For many, myself included there is a tremendous amount of nostalgia. It's still a better use of the space than that stupid Honey, I Shrunk the Kids nonsense they had in there before bringing EO back.

Still though, no need to fastpass it. I saw it once since it's return and that's enough. I've got a copy of the music when I want to listen to it.

EO is part of my larger FastPass strategy to deal with tiered attractions.

EO was better for naptime than the Hall of Presidents. As loud as it was, I still managed to sleep through the whole thing.

I had trouble coming up with what to use our second and third FP for. I actually have a FP for the Figment ride. LOL. My daughter loves it (she's 6, I don't know how else to explain it), so I figured what the heck, I need to pick something!

Don't forget that George Lucas was the Executive Producer. :rolleyes1
