I helped accompany 8 first-grade girls to an International Fair at a local Children's Museum this weekend. A few of them started asking about lunch at 9 AM. I teasingly asked what they had for breakfast for them to be hungry so early and learned they had not eaten at all. Out of 8 girls, 3 came on an empty stomach. I finally asked one WHY she had not eaten and she said "We didn't have time." Is this a valid reason to send your young daughter to an all-day event without breakfast when you don't know when they will have lunch?
