Why,why,why

we are going those dates as well and we cant wait. my family will just be happy to be in Disney and it is what you make of it.

Ya know, Disney has been running the free dining promo during September for the last 3 years now, and every year, people on the boards panic and say,"Oh, it's going to be SOOOOOOO crowded! EVERYBODY on the boards is going that month! All the restaurants are booked! All the resorts are booked! It's going to be a nightmare!"

And every year, the September crowds are no worse than they were without free dining.

Yep:thumbsup2 And lets not forget as we approach the actual dates of Free dining...The HURRICAINE PANIC. Last year every other post was about the hurricaines, the crowds, the restaurants etc...Relax. Sept is a great time to go.

I am actually encouraged that the OP's brother's schools appear to be out that week-I am in Henry and we are out the 14-19-which means the state may be more staggered than in the past. But with that in mind it has never been anything like going on spring break-we did that by accident for our Honeymoon-I will never celebrate that at Disney again-2-3 hours for Mr toads wild ride

Actually I got my info about GA fall break from my brother who happens to live in GA......... and I got the info about the values being sold out from WDW.......... So yes my info did come from accurate sources:headache:

Wow, why did you get all :headache:? You mentioned Georgia had a fall break (which indicates ALL of GA.) and that all the values were sold out. Upon second glance, that isn't entirely true-thank goodness. All I said was people tend to panic and cause further panic and I was glad people who had more info chimed in. Cuz I was starting to panic! lol

WHY does it seem like everyone and their grandma is going to WDW the week of Sept.19-26. I thought it would be a great week to go, but at this point ALL of the value resorts are sold out for that week, not to mention I just read that week is the fall break for GA. I am nervous that I chose the wrong week and that it's gonna be packed. The reason we pull our kids out of school in Sept. is to avoid the hudge crowds when kids are out of school. And it's now to late for me to switch to the only other week that we could go, which would be the week before(12-19) because the 90 day ADR date has already passed and I'm sure by this point all of our favorites are already gone... I am so bummed:sad2::sad2::sad2:

If you want to go the week before, then just do it! There are still plenty of dining options available - I booked breakfast at CRT for September 12th last night for example. The only restaurant I've had trouble booking is Le Cellier but I still managed to get in, just at a slightly odd time, and I never ring at 7am exactly 90 days before. Why not try and see what's available for the 12th-19th on the online ADR system first before you throw that idea out of the window completely?

lol I'm not mad... sorry I guess all of this stress is getting to me.;) I hoping crowds won't be awful. But we will be in WDW right. can't be all that bad:thumbsup2

I think there is one other thing people need to consider when worrying about crowd levels during free dining. My guess is that during free dining, the percentage of guests staying onsite goes through the roof compared to other times of the year. Many people like to stay offsite to save money, but will choose to stay onsite if they can get free dining for their trip. So, the fact that Disney resorts are more packed than we would expect/like/hope does not necessarily mean the parks will follow suit - as there are probably a lot fewer people staying offsite than at other times of the year.

I have nothing to back this up other than the voices in my own head, but they are sounding pretty convincing today.
