I wish Disney would bring one back to Epcot! :confused3 What do you think they are waiting for? I miss Tapestry, but wouldn't it be great to have a daily parade around the Showcase that focuses on the countries represented?? They could really make this great if they wanted to.....It has been 2 years now and yet, I still wait :rolleyes1 and wait popcorn::

Oh HOW long must we wait?!?!?!?

I agree. I loved Tapestry of Nations Parade. :goodvibes
I wish there was a parade as well, Epcot is our favorite park.

I am surprised they haven't brought one back to Epcot. That is the only park without a parade. I haven't even heard rumors about one being thought about. :confused3

A parade in WS is a logistical nightmare.

When the original Tapestry parade was launched, it was actually THREE identical, simultaneous parades.
This is so guests in many locations of WS could see the show without the performance taking an hour or so from beginning to end.

BUT, it also created a huge guest-movement PROBLEM, because the parade was taking place in the ONLY walkway that there IS in WS. It took an army of CM's just to direct the guests walking (and going to restaurant ressies, etc.) and keep them from colliding with the parade vehicles and marchers.

What's more, the tall puppet/costumes that many of the CM's wore, manipulated and danced with were said to have caused many muscle aches, strains and other physical ailments for them.

We loved these parades, but I don't think Epcot is ready to tackle all of the physical obstacles again.

I really liked Tapestry but I am glad there is no parade @ EPCOT! Although while I am in the other parks I like the shorter lines @ the rides while you parade goers are off standing on top of each other. :rotfl:

I loved Tapestry too but it was a pain if you didn't want to watch it. Similar problem again in Animal Kingdom with that parade. We were stuck in Africa and couldn't move until the parade went by.

I must be the only person in the world who hated the tapestry parade and was thrilled to see it go. caused to much of a traffic jam and the music from it would stick in my head for days. :confused3 I pray they never bring it back. :cat:

:sunny: I would love to see some kind of parade come back...even if only a small one. :cool1:

I loved Tapestry too but agree it was a traffic nightmare. One time we were late for the Candlelight Processional because we could not get past Morocco where the parade was coming out.

And I thought the 16 years we waited for Epcot to get their first parade was a lot...oh, wait... :rolleyes1

I liked Tapestry too but I really felt for the poor performers. They,as I understand, were told to move at a brisk pace and not to stop for any reason- except for safety,of course. I remember going to the parade on an April day and the humidity was about 90% and the temp was like 95, the sweat coming off those poor performers was, well, incredible!
Would I like to see another parade? Yes.
I just don't see it happening.

Actually, you know what would be a really cool replacement would be if they had a "round the world" musical revue that was piped through the speakers with two minute music and performer parts at each country and a grand finale combo music performance of instruments from each country. It wouldn't block off walkways, people could spread out around the whole lagoon, no one would miss any of the music because it would be piped everywhere, and people would likely attend repeat performances so they could catch various countries since there's no way you could see everything in one shot.

Just an idea, but I agree, they should have something "afternoon" for epcot again.

One time when we went on the Illuminations Cruise, our captain told us that there would be a new Epcot parade in 2007, for the 25th Anniversary. Since we all know how reliable CMs are, you heard it here first!

One could only hope. :confused3

I also agree... I think that Illuminations is the best but something is missing there during the day.

What would be cool is a boat pararde. Think something like Spectro on water with a float (no pun intended) or two for each country.

I was thinking ofa boat idea also. The walkways around the Showcase aren't big, and Tapestry caused traffic. They would need a place to keep all the floats that is attached to water.

How about a new Tapestry on the water? OMG, that would be awesome to have it back! And they could do it bigger than the old parade, so we could see it from land!

I have no problem seeing the parade dancers on barges, floating around the lake instead of walking. Whatever it takes to bring that parade back!!
