Icees are included with your mug refills at Pop. I was there 6/5-6/11 & there were 2 icee machines. One of them was always not working. Apple Juice is also included at Pop for the refills.DebIreland said:Ah. My mistake. I saw icees listed under the Fountain Drink Choices for Pop (on Allearsnet) so I assumed it was included. Thanks for the info.
These are included when they are available...but as far as I know, they are not promised. The same drinks are not always available..at least they have not been on the several occasions we have stayed there. As I mentioned..they teased my poor hubby with the rootbear on our first visit, and replaced it with apple juice.A Mickeyfan said:Icees are included with your mug refills at Pop. There must have been 40 people with bags waiting in a line. At first, I thought they were waiting to get to the check in/out desk. They weren't. They were waiting to get to the ME desk. It sound like this is a problem at all of the resorts.
Your bites sound like mine were. I am sure mine were from the bed. I was bit nearly up to my (excuse me for saying it but..) underwear line & I do not wear shorts that short, nor did I put on a bathing suit. The only time I was uncoverd was sleeping in a night gown. I had bug spray and it didn't stop what ever got me. In fact, once bit & applying the spray made my bites sting ...ouch.. and thanks for the heads up on the icee's. I stayed there in Feb & they had them, they were there this trip...just figured they would always have them. I can see the machine not working because it really doesn't have time to refreeze with all the kids getting them. I know my daughter is very guilty of thatDMRick said:These are included when they are available...but as far as I know, they are not promised. We got bit up too..when we were at Disney in May. We got bit last year at this time too. I brought bug spray this time, but it didn't seem to help. I couldn't tell where I got bit (we were at POR), but I suspect it was near the pool, when I was sitting near the foilage (and prob had washed off the bug spray). I woke up in the middle of the night (hubby was ok the first night..he didn't get bit until the last day), itching. I had antibiotic cream and an antihistimine. The bugs looked like underfed fly's. I was told last year, on this board, that those bugs lay eggs under your skin. I don't know if it was true, but the area where I got bit, swelled and like you, got rock hard. I had a temp when I got home. The itching was terrible...and it took almost 10 days for everything to get back to normal. I'll be doubling up on the bug spray if we go in May again.

Geez, let it go! My hubbie likes his coffee mostly milk, with just a nodding acquaintance with the actual coffee pot. Would he be doing wrong to use the milk in a manner uneconomical and unbefitting a proper resort guest? What on earth is the difference? Where does one draw the line?

I agree!
First you must define "the system" before you can take advantage of it. If a product is out there for you to use, I suppose (as any "reasonable person" would) that as long as I use it in a reasonable manner, i.e., for human consumption, whether or not it's mixed with something else, then I wouldn't be bashed for "improper use of a beverage". If milk is something else entirely, and not to be used in the refillable mug, then it should be sold separately. I'd suggest, to be fair to those who cannot have sugar-sweetened products, LIKE toddlers, if there is an alternative made readily available, others should not be so nit-picky about its intended use. If the cost is so extremely prohibitive to Disney, I believe they would have already come up with a lower-cost alternative than making the milk readily available, as it appears to be in some resorts.BostonRob said:I don't. I can't believe I'm jumping into a refillable cup debate, but here goes. A reasonable person knows the difference between filling a todler's cup with milk all day and having a coffee that has a lot of milk in it.
Where do you draw the line? Apparently you have to decide that for yourself. If CM's look the other way when people are filling their mugs with milk intended for coffe, then they do not draw a line. If you chose not to draw your own line, go ahead and take advantage of the system. But please, don't try to rationalize a light cup of coffee into free milk for the baby for the week.
rosamindy said:It seems to me that the OP had no notion of a "system" whereby the milk was intended only as an additive, and so is completely innocent of any kind of advantage-taking. Perfectly understandable IMHO that she would question the lack of a product in one resort that was made readily available in a comparable resort elsewhere on property.
robinb said:ITA. In addition, if there was no sign saying the milk was only for coffee and tea, so they really didn't know they shouldn't be using it for refills.
