Why was it packed on 12/12-12/14?

I was looking at Is It Packed and it listed those dates as "Yup, It's Packed" and Touring Plans basically confirmed it was. Given I'm planning on going that same time next year I'm wondering if it will be packed then. Seems kind of random given the 15th and 16th weren't busy at all.

Maybe. It is right before the holiday blackout. I just think it's odd that the next two days are OK. Thought maybe there was some convention or something.

It's Disneyland. It is pretty much always busy - crowded - wall-to-wall these days.

We were there all of those days and it didn't seem especially crowded then. Just regular crowded.

We were there too. Crowded, not crazy. We only had one moment that lasted about five minutes of overwhelming crazy....other than that, wonderfully magical. Go with an open mind!

I was there from Wed. 12/14 through Sun. 12/18. The first two days were busy, but not bad, things picked up Friday and Saturday and Sunday were packed.

That is the last week for those of us with the Signature AP's, so I think that, along with the weekend being the beginning of Christmas break for many people make it crowded.
