I saw an answer to a previous question along the lines of Disney stars like Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus should not have a love life, send nude photos to partners (especailly Vanessaa Hudgens who is in a long term partnership as good as married), dance around a pole etc as their audience is kids and will copy them.

So why stick with sexaul matters on the copy them issue.

Surely if little kids are to copy role model you will have children taking out mortages, frying chips/french fries, getting a job, stealing parents cars to drive, operating chainsaw or guns and doing other grown up stuff.

Why the irrational issue with teenagers acting their age?

Why not accept kids will do kid stuff, teens do teen stuff and point out to children that there is nothing wrong with dancing around a pole in a sexy manner

A) so you dont fall down and hit your head in Mileys case

Or sending sexy photos to a partner you want to suggle up with whn your GROWN UP as its GROWN UP stuff not kids stuff that these girls did kid stuf when they were yourn age but now they are grwon up like you will be so for now do kids stuff till grown up.

Rather then this moral nonsen

i sort of agree with you on this. as a teenager i will admit stuff like this happens but you know (even at 16) your parents won't approve so half the fun is not being seen or caught. I mean feel free disney stars to do whatever you want by try and be normal once and a while and dont do it in front of a million papparzzi cameras.

and as for the disney star part its because mostly younger kids watch that and when i was a kid wasnt dancing on a pole, i was playing tag until the sun went down with the neighborhood kids. i know i would rather have my kids running around playing than be nine years old and practically stripping on a pole. (yes while miley cyrus didnt strip it only leads to that whether kids see it or not.)

I don't think it's necessarily the love life part. People can have love lives and still keep that part of their lives private (examples - Beyonce, Selena G). I rarely hear that part of their lives, and that's because they don't stuff it in the public's face. Who cares if Selena sends nude photos to her significant other? The only thing I should worry about regarding her is her acting career.

But with people like Miley Cyrus, they seem to make a parade out of it. They don't seem to know when to hold back. Yes we know that teenagers dress inappropriately on a daily occasion, but that doesn't make it okay. Plus, there's a difference between dressing sexy and dressing slutty.

People do make the mistake of titling certain celebrities 'role models' when they clearly shouldn't be - their only job is to act, sing, or whatever else they specialize in. Whatever they do in their personal life shouldn't be any of our business. It's a lot of pressure, also, to make these teenagers as role models when they themselves are trying to figure out and form his/her own identity.

But hey, Miley is now not a minor anymore. Parents can't really say anything about her behavior anymore.
