We are planning on staying at Poly for our next vacation (DH, DD7, & me)...For all of those who love the resort please tell me why?? Will we love it?

Thanks!

So many reasons!

First off the whole atmosphere there just gives me this awesome feeling. Its so tropical, laid back, romantic...
The view from the beach is breathtaking.
The location and transportation options are wonderful
Kona Cafe is our favorite WDW restaurant(trying Ohana next trip)
Volcano pool is a lot of fun
And for me personally, I remember it as a kid and I stayed there on my honeymoon so I guess it has sentimental value too

I agree with CamColt......Have desert at the Kona Cafe it is the best.........There are watermice you can rent at dockside and travel aroud the waterways near MK,GF ,Wl, Contemporary and near camp wilderness. That was a blast. The little boats hold 2.
We love to watch the fireworks on the beach in a hamock. The water pagent is also fun to watch on the beach. There is a women inside the main building teaching the kids how to make leis and how to swing these balls on a rope? She also gives out chocolate chip cookies and tells stories to the kids. The feeling at the Poly is very welcoming....:wave2:

What CamColt said!

The grounds are so tropical and relaxing, you feel like you really are at a resort in the tropics. The Polynesian is not just a place to sleep, it feels like a vacation destination in itself.

Strolling the grounds after dark is a special treat- you have the subtle tropical music emanating from the lush tropical landscaping, and the tiki torches placed along the meandering pathways add to the "away from it all" feeling.

Sitting on the beach at night and digging your toes in the cool sand while watching the MK fireworks across the lagoon is the best way to end the day.

Transportation!!! There are so many options to get around from here. I don't think there's anywhere else on property that's so convenient to so many parts of WDW.

Being able to look across the water and see the castle in the distance is magical. It gives my heart a little thrill every time I see those beautiful spires. Deep in my heart, I guess the castle represents the magic that is Disney.
