Hello, I'm looking to book our first Universal experience and wanted to get the Express passes, but when I went to book, there were a load of different tickets, varying in price from $45.99 to $19.99 . They all had different availabilities (seemingly un-related to the price), but seemed to offer exactly the same deal. What's the difference.

The difference is the demand or what they think will be the demand for that day. Depending on when you're going, you might not need to get one. Plus...they now offer the 2 park EP rather than just the 1 park.

yep--what the guys said.... peak time = more people = more demand = more $$

i think it's just like anything is. the more the demand, the higher the crowds, they know they can get more $$ for them and therefore, they do. just like hotel prices pretty much everywhere are higher when more crowds are expected, something like the Express Pass can come at a higher price too!!!

you can wait and buy the epp when you are at the park. if there are no crowds, you won't need them.

if you go in off season, the lines are not bad.
go early to the parks and do as much as you can before you buy the passes.
if you find that the crowds are too much for you, buy them at that point.

only a limited number of epp are sold each day. you have to decide if you want to take the chance and wait until at the park to buy them later.

Are the prices for the EPP the same whether you purchase them in advance, or wait to buy them in the park once you see the crowd size?

yes, same price..... the only difference purchasing in the park, is first come first serve....they only sell a limited number .... if you purchase in advance, you are guaranteed to have them
