why stay at a skyliner resort ?

For those that aren't interested in riding the gondola, I believe that there will be good alternatives, hoping!:wizard:::yes::
Bus to DAK and then bus to DHS or Epcot may be that alternative.

It may come down to how much demand remains for Epcot and DHS buses.

Actually, it's not. There are members on this board and other boards who have inside connections to Disney who have stated this. Disney's plan is to do away with bus service to Epcot and DHS once the Skyliner is going to those resorts. However, as with anything Disney does, that is subject to change. But the original plan is to completely replace the buses to DHS and Epcot with the Skyliner. You can choose to believe what you want, but I trust the people that have shared this information. They're right most of the time.

Threads suggest most posters think gondola service is a upgrade over bus service. I dont accept your premise.
Don't care what you accept. Right now, no official announcement has been made. Until such a time, the fact is it IS guessing and speculation, no matter how good the guess or speculation is. Or how many insiders have said it's going to happen.

Without guessing and speculation, this board would be about half its size. Until guessing and speculation are forbidden, I'd venture to say there will continue to be a lot of it.

Besides, plenty of people are planning trips for soon after this opens. All they have to go on are educated guesses.

Suit yourself, but you are doing others a disservice. People come on the boards to get help in planning their trips. If you are giving them a false sense of security, you aren't helping. They need to know that the chance of the buses still running after this goes into service is slim. That way if they don't want to ride them they will make other arrangements. As far as believing ONLY Disney, well you are being naive. I got reports from those same insiders that Disney was going to be giving Disney Springs hotels EMH and FP privileges. I called Disney to complain. There response, "We haven't made any such announcement. We would never do that, it would devalue onsite perks." Well, 1 month later and it was announced by Disney. Bury your head if you want to, but I am putting it out there for others to know ALL of the information.

I would have a lot less to do on the rumors board if this was the case ;)

I don't think Disney would make an announcement on this anyways. This is something they would just do without announcement.

Someone asked specifically, has there been an official announcement?
I said no.
That is true.
So No, what I've answered is not wrong or doing anyone a disservice. I never said anyone was wrong about it changing either. Did I? I've never disputed that the bus service would change. So I'm not sure what the big deal is.
I only said, in response to the question, there has been no official announcement.

per DIS news "
Disney Confirms Skyliner Gondolas Will Not Have Air Conditioning"
So why stay at a connecting Skyliner resort ?

Because we like the resort? We're talking about a quick ride in a gondola. If I can walk from one of the resorts to a park in summer without melting then I think I can handle a few minutes on the Skyliner.

If it's something we don't want to do we would take a Lyft.
