Why so many picture threads?

actually it just proves that your monitor is calibrated for canon cameras..LOL..

I had no idea "soft" was considered a monitor calibration.

And I actually like the brand specific threads. It's just proof positive that Canons produce better pictures than all other brands.

Now, now...it doesn't prove anything of the sort. Canon cameras may actually be inferior and it is the superior skill of Canon shooters that make the pictures look better.

OK, I'll just keep ignoring the brand specific threads (except for an occasional post in the Nikon thread). Given the support for the lens specific type threads, I decided to take a monkey approach (fling a bunch of, uh, stuff and see what sticks) and posted a thread for long lenses, one for shallow or selective DOF, and one for flash shots. In the sincerest form of flattery, I imitated Tom's and tried to use clever thread titles.

I'm game for the post processing thread. If no one starts one, I may eventually get around to it. It's not as easy because I don't have a bunch of unprocessed shots already loaded to get started with.
