Why so long to closing after ROFR?

I mean after all, it's not like you are buying a house LOL. I was told on the 14th that Disney waived their ROFR and now I am waiting...patiently

Unfortunately, not everyone involved in the transaction is as motivated as you may be. And they don't call it "snail mail" for nothing!

Hi Carol!

I sure do! I have plans to go 3 times next year! That may not sound like a lot to some, but I do live in CHicago and airfare from O'Hare is not cheap. Plus I am a single Mom. Thing is, every year someone I know who is around my age (41) or younger dies. It has freaked me out and I just focus on having good times and making memories with my son. I have always remembered the times with my Dad and family at WDW when I was young, and I want to build the same with my son. After all, you can't take it with you anway!

My contract took awhile to close also. Mainly due to the fact that the sellers were from Canada and were declaring bankruptcy. My other contract was purchased from a couple divorcing. A very nasty divorce, from what I understand.

So there are certain situations that will slow it down - a lot more than the USPS.

What is the average amount of time for closing on DVC resale? We got an e-mail on 9/19 that Disney had waived the ROFR. We are anxious too!!!

Yes I fell your pain! We got notice we Passes ROFR and also stuck in :

"Have you received the estoppel information from Disney? Please advise when I should be receiving my final documents."

Limbo.

We have not received anything yet from Disney!! I'm sure it takes time but I am so anxious to get everything that I can hardly stand it Please let me know when you have received your stuff from Disney and I will do the same.
