Been watching the wait times and LL times in prep for us being in the parks from Aug 5-9th and today seems oddly busy, especially for DCA. Any ideas why or what could be going on?

At ~2pm Cali time:

RSR - 135min

We were there yesterday and it was bonkers. While in line for RSR (with LLSP thankfully!) they announced that the current wait was 3 hours. Yikes!

Today looks to be less busy than yesterday. 100 minute wait for Guardians is the highest. 65 minutes for Soarin and under an hour for GRR and RSR.

Tuesdays seem to be the new Monday which was the new Saturday. But the plus side is that weekends are a breeze now.

Weekdays are busier then Weekend....less people blocked out and tickets cost less plus people still have the old way of thinking that weekdays are slower but thats only true at parks like Six Flags and Universal not Disney any more

Checking the app It still looks crazy to me in dca today. GoG and Sorin LLMP sold out around 10:10 am

I think they're still running low capacity, not 100% sure about Soarin' but only 2 shafts are running on Guardians causing huge wait (and those guests may purchase other LL passes causing fast sellouts.)

Today’s earliest llmp sold out ride was matterhorn, already sold out before 9:30 am when I checked. Thrill data says 8:45am. Maybe because it’s back today.

Looks like Soarin' is doing better today. As of noon, LLMP is 3:45. Guardians still sold up pretty quick, by late morning it seems.

I know TP has flaws at DL, but their data collection of comparing historical wait times is still a good objective measure of crowds after the fact. They rated Tuesday as 10/10. Wed-Thurs were back below 5, where most of July has been. The difference? A $164 single day ticket price surrounded by other days at $180 or above. There are other factors too, but this was definitely a driver.
