Why snowglobes and not music boxes?

Just a question of curiousity - why does Disney sell all the snowglobes, but very rarely does any plain music boxes? Years ago, I started collecting Disney music boxes and when the snowglobes started I decided not to go down that road. Now, I can rarely find music boxes. I would think the snowglobes would have more problems with bubbles, leaking, etc. and that music boxes would be safer and easier to make. Just wondering if anyone has an answer. Happy Holidays!

I just saw a bunch of music boxes in one of the Disney catalogs... Last months I think. They had like 5 of them...
