Why repeat visits to DisneyWorld?

Ohh...and I forgot to add...I've traveled alot... drove cross country from LosAngeles to Atlanta and back... saw the Grand Canyon.. been to Reno, Chicago, Memphis, DC, 2 cruises to the Bahamas...and 42 states total... nothing beats my 8 hr drive destination of WDW!!!!

My brother asks me frequently if we have plans to ever see anything else in the world. We have and we will. But, quite honestly, if you have to ask, you just don't get it.

We've been going every year since 2000. I only wish we had started going earlier. We are so relaxed and at peace when we are at WDW. I don't know what they have in the air but it works! I'd go 3 times a year if we could.
Also, there is so much to see, I don't we have seen everything yet!

We also go away for week in July, which is not have as much as Disney.
But at the present time our kids like it.

I remember my vacations as a kid. Even though we went to either Lake George or Cape Cod every year, it was fun and memorable. Hopefully my kids will look back at these years and remember as fondly as I do mine. :D

We go to Disney every year (actually a few times each year) because:

My parents live in Florida and my Dad works at Disney World, so we have a place to stay and also admission to Disney, all free. If we decide to stay at Disney, my Dad gets a great discount for us. We all have AP's to Universal, that don't expire until June of 2006, so for now, we don't have to pay to go there either. As for plane tickets, we only fly Southwest and DH's job schedule is so flexible that we can basically go whenever we want to.

So we go to Disney a couple times a year because it is so cheap for us to do so!! :p

I have traveled all over North America over the years, and I've been to Europe three times. I'll be going to Disney at least once a year for the next several years for many reason:

I have a young child who loves Mickey Mouse.
I love Disney myself.
My husband, after some convincing and two trips this year, also now loves WDW.
It's cheaper than Europe.
It's clean and the weather is usually lovely.
There are so many interesting things to do, packed into one area.

I understand why some people think we're a bit nuts for wanting to go so often, but that's their problem. I'm sure I can think of several things those people do that I think are nuts. To each their own. :)

If you have to ask you don't "get it". There is something truly magical about Disney. We've gone many times and still haven't done some things and the things we want to re-do make our hearts thump.

We have gone other places but it's just not the same. DH and I just went to the Bahamas this November and we must have said a thousand times "it's nice but it's not Disney!".

I don't know if I can explain how my family feels every time they see the Castle for the first time that trip or how our hearts skip a beat when we hear the first notes of the SPectromagic parade song.

I can't begin to tell you how jealous I am

We've vacationed other places besides WDW. We love theme parks and go to Cedar Point at least 3 times a year. We've also been to Tennessee, Mississippi, South Dakota and Washington D.C. I loved all of those places for different reasons but Disney is our favorite! So much do to for all ages and as many times as I've been, I still haven't done everything there is to do.

We go to Disney on average every other year. We like to relax at a beach somewhere, so other times we've been to Jamaica, St. Thomas, St. Martin ect...

We own DVC so the beauty of it is a prepaid vacation for the next 50 years. We just came back and spent 200.00 on food ( I cooked in the 1 bedroom) and 150.00 in souveniers. 900.00 on airfare ( 180.00 round trip from California). With our DVC we have a trade into Maui.

Though I wouldn't mind going to Disney every year, my DH wouldn't want to. So we have the best of both worlds with our DVC :)

I love the rides and the magical feeling of being a kid again....I don't get that anywhere else and I've been to a LOT of different spots, too!! It's fun to be a kid again, I guess, for me! :)

It is a total escape, where everyone can be the same age and enjoy the same things without any judgement from others.
